Discovering the most spectacular nativity scene I have ever seen in a small village in Asturias (La Caridad). (ESP/ENG)
¿Qué tal van pasando estas fechas Navideñas? Espero que lo estén pasando bien.
A mi francamente estas fechas siempre me gustan porque en los distintos lugares que visito me voy encontrando con espectaculares luces navideñas, algunos mercadillos de Navidad y muchos belenes de distinto tipo.
Hoy en la tarde, acompañado de mis familiares de Madrid, nos hemos dado un paseo por una localidad cercana a mi casa que se llama La Caridad (Asturias).
La Caridad es una pequeña villa de menos de 2000 habitantes y, por tanto, el decorado navideño no es espectacular, centrándose en unas cuantas luces colocadas en las la sucesión de ramas de los árboles del parque municipal y la colocación de una estructura con forma cónica que simula un árbol de Navidad que presenta una serie de luces de colores formando formas sobre la estructura.
How are you doing this Christmas season? I hope you are having a good time.
Frankly I always like these dates because in the different places I visit I find spectacular Christmas lights, some Christmas markets and many different kinds of nativity scenes.
Today in the afternoon, accompanied by my relatives from Madrid, we took a walk through a town near my house called La Caridad (Asturias).
La Caridad is a small village of less than 2000 inhabitants and, therefore, the Christmas decoration is not spectacular, focusing on a few lights placed in the succession of branches of the trees in the municipal park and the placement of a cone-shaped structure that simulates a Christmas tree that presents a series of colored lights forming shapes on the structure.
Sin embargo, a unos 100 metros de la plaza donde estaba el árbol de Navidad en el garage de una de las casas, ¿os podéis creer que se encuentra el belén más espectacular que he visto?
However, about 100 meters from the square where the Christmas tree was in the garage of one of the houses, can you believe that there is the most spectacular nativity scene I have ever seen?
En el interior de la casa o garage se encuentra expuesto el más bonito y mayor belén popular asturiano, siendo el coste de la entrada únicamente un euro.
Inside the house or garage is exposed the most beautiful and largest popular Asturian nativity scene, being the cost of admission only one euro.
Una vez pagada la entrada, mi familia y yo pasamos a la zona donde está expuesto el belén. Como podéis ver en la siguiente imagen, el tamaño del belén es espectacular.
Once the entrance fee was paid, my family and I went to the area where the nativity scene is displayed. As you can see in the following picture, the size of the crib is spectacular.
Pero la espectacularidad de este belén no viene de solo de su gran tamaño, sino también por lo espectacular de los detalles de las diferentes figuras y que la gran mayoría de las mismas son articuladas y que están en movimiento, destacando el gran número de pastores, labradores arando las tierras, ganaderos ordeñando el ganado, lavanderas lavando la ropa e incluso hay un río con agua fluyendo continuamente.
But the spectacular nature of this nativity scene is not only due to its large size, but also to the spectacular details of the different figures and the fact that most of them are articulated and are in motion, highlighting the large number of shepherds, farmers plowing the land, farmers milking cattle, washerwomen washing clothes and there is even a river with water flowing continuously.
A su vez, el nacimiento del niño con el Niño Jesús, la virgen María y San Jose no le falta detalle con la inclusión del ángel Gabriel realizando la anunciación del nacimiento.
In turn, the birth of the child with the Child Jesus, the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph does not lack detail with the inclusion of the angel Gabriel performing the annunciation of the birth.
Pero si esto no fuese poco, el belén es más espectacular si cabe debido a que durante el tiempo que uno está entre del mismo podemos ver que en el belén se va haciendo noche y día. De forma que las figuras articuladas se detienen cuando llega la noche y se pone en funcionamiento al hacerse de nuevo día.
Adicionalmente, las casas que decoran todas la aldea al llegar la noche se van iluminando cada una, haciendo escuchándose únicamente el fluir del agua del río que hay en el belén.
But if this were not enough, the crib is more spectacular if possible because during the time that one is among the same we can see that in the crib is making night and day. So that the articulated figures stop when the night comes and starts working when the day comes again.
Additionally, the houses that decorate all the village at night are illuminated each one, making only listening to the flowing water of the river that is in the crib.
Para finalizar nuestra visita y emprender el camino de vuelta hasta el coche para volver a casa, saque unas fotos a mis familiares en frente del este espectacular Belén, situado en un pequeño pueblo de Asturias.
To end our visit and start the way back to the car to return home, I took some pictures of my relatives in front of this spectacular Bethlehem, located in a small village in Asturias.

It is a tree that has been placed on these dates for 5 years. With the intention of not cutting down trees in almost all the cities I have visited they use structures of this type.
