Finally I bought my SPL Land!

Even though there are setbacks, the uncertainty of beeing in a bear market and all stuff; buying a Splinterlands Land was my dream. Today, I bought that land!

Starting from that post I was challenging myself to buy a @splinterlands land. I shared my progress here with you. Let's see how many days it took to buy my land!

77 DAYS

So the prices were nearly $383 at that point. Actually, I could have the land before. But I waited for the prices to come to a more affordable level. Now I'm making the purchase from $195. It's nearly a %96 discounted and I'm really satisfied!

Data of the first days I checked land Prices

2 days ago I totally make a decision to buy the land. I went to hive market and it was nearly 250 Hives. But somehow the prices started to climb and I couldn't finish the purchase.

Yesterday I checked the AtomicHub for the prices. There was a land going for 850 WAX. It was amazing. Then I liquidated my precious SWAP.HIVE:PLN pool and I had 235 Hives ready to convert to 860 WAX needed. (10 WAX more for the transaction) It took an hour to transfer from hive to wax but it succeded.

Also, did you see the mint number. I don't know it makes any changes but having a land with a min number 9 is also felles so good!

Also, you can still go buy a land starting from $204 right now. It's still a little bit pricey on hive market ($244, did someone said arbitrage 😉)

I guess the prices will stay flat for another week or a month (if we enter a bull run this can change) but it's definitely so near that Splinterlands will introduce the utilities for lands.

Congratulations. Does it usually take like 1 hour to move WAX over from Hive Engine over to WAX?

Nope, my previous wax transfers got through in mostly a minute. This one took a long time, I thought maybe it's a moderate sum but I don't know why 🤷‍♂ !CTP

Awww man! I haven't been involved in Splinterlands, besides having some cards that I claimed early on and renting, so I thought the number would add value 😔

Hey, I found this post on Listnerds. That is really awesome that you have finally been able to buy some land. I think I paid much more for my plots. I participated in one of the land pools at the very beginning. I have some plots coming my way from that and then I purchased one a bit ago. I want to say it was around $700 though, so you got an awesome deal!

I know that it will get much more valuable then the prices you paid for when the utility comes. I think I like bargains too much so I kept myself for 77 days 😂

Nice job on achieving your goal. You knew what you wanted to do and found a way to get it done. I am curious what the benefit is to owning land plots in Splinterlands. What was your purpose for wanting to purchase it? Does it help with your game play? Or is it more of a passive income source?

Thank you 🙏 Right now it doesn't have any utility, other than helping advance SPS airdrop share. But in the future, they are planning lots of utility for the game. I'll decide later if it's good to keep it or maybe sell it for profit !CTP

Congratulations!!

Splinter-Lands are definitely in my radar. I wanted to ask you if you may please make a post (or even explain here, no prob) how is the process to bridge assets from Hive to WAX? Back in the day, I used DEC to bridge Hive-BSC, then it was (obviously) bLEO, and now it is pHBD back and forth Hive-Polygon, but WAX, I just did it once, and cannot remember exactly how I did it! XD

I would (and many of us, I'm sure!) truly appreciate it man. Get some !PIZZA on my behalf.
