However, his performance has dropped a lot in recent years and his emotional state doesn't help either, as he is not dealing well with the drop in income and the questions about his current situation.

It also doesn't make sense for the Golden State Warriors to keep veteran players like Chris Paul, who arrived to be a luxury reserve, but the team needs younger players much more, since the squad already has many veterans. If veterans were to be brought in, it would have to be for a much lower price and not for a million dollar salary.

It is clear that the time has come to invest in the next generation of athletes. Many people wonder whether the team's managers will follow logic or whether they let the emotional side speak louder, as it is very difficult to separate players who were so talented and important to the team in the past.

But it's time. Klay Thompson will be a free agent and, obviously, he will not receive an offer similar to the ones he received when he was at his peak. Therefore, his departure is the most likely. Already, Draymond Green is still under contract, at seventy-seven million dollars for the next three years, and will be more difficult to negotiate, but a trade would be very welcome.

Another piece that could be involved in a trade is Andrew Wiggins, as the Golden State Warriors already have a younger player with more potential in forward Jonathan Kuminga. Ultimately, there is an urgent need for a reformulation and prioritization of the youngest players in the squad.

As important as they were in the past, it is not productive to keep players who are close to retirement for longer. If the team doesn't reform immediately, next season could be even worse than the Warriors' fiasco during 2023/2024.
