Tener miedo cuando empiezas un proyecto del cual no tienes idea o no estás acostumbrado es normal, todos sentimos miedo alguna vez, pero está en nosotros en no dejarnos abrumar por más grande que sea lo que tenemos en mente.

Si Dios te dio las capacidades y te puso ese proyecto en tu camino de seguro tambien te dará la energía, las ganas, la fuerza para sacarlo adelante.

En el tejido pasan mil cosas así, hay proyector tan grandes que a veces pensamos que no somos capaces de hacerlo realidad.

To be afraid when you start a project that you have no idea about or are not used to is normal, we all feel fear at some time, but it is up to us not to let ourselves be overwhelmed no matter how big what we have in mind is.

If God gave you the capabilities and put this project in your path, surely he will also give you the energy, the desire and the strength to carry it out.

In knitting a thousand things like this happen, there are projects so big that sometimes we think we are not able to make it happen.

Hoy les quiero mostrar la hermosa bufanda que tejí este mes de octubre, es algo que quería hacerme desde hace mucho tiempo y tenía las lanas compradas desde el año pasado. Las manualistas somos así, cuando vemos una lana que nos gusta la compramos para cuando la necesitemos y este mismo proceso se repite una y otra vez cada vez que vamos a las tiendas.

Today I want to show you the beautiful scarf I knitted this October, it is something I wanted to do for a long time and I had the yarns bought since last year. Craftswomen are like that, when we see a yarn that we like we buy it for when we need it and this same process is repeated over and over again every time we go to the stores.

Pues esa lana la compre pensando en hacerme una bufanda infinita, que no fuera pesada, que me pudiera dos o más vueltas en el cuello y me sintiera abrigada del frio de navidad.

Well, I bought that wool thinking of making me an infinite scarf, that was not heavy, that I could wrap it around my neck two or more times and feel warm from the cold of Christmas.

No fue sino hasta este mes de Octubre que busque un modelo que me gustara, en una de las imágenes podrán ver que inicie con un tejido pero luego lo cambie y es que eso tambien puede pasar. Me di cuenta que el tejido estaba quedando muy grueso y al dar dos vueltas seguro me iba a quedar una bufanda muy abultada y no era lo que yo quería.

It was not until this month of October that I looked for a model that I liked, in one of the images you can see that I started with a fabric but then I changed it and that can also happen. I realized that the fabric was getting too thick and after two turns I was sure I was going to get a very bulky scarf and it was not what I wanted.

Es por eso que destejí y busque el modelo más sencillo, ese me encantó, era bonito y lo mejor es que era fácil de hacer.

Pasito a pasito fui tejiendo a cada instante que podía, cuando veía una película, después de comer o cuando caía la noche tambien aprovechaba de tejer.

Me gusto todo, me gusto el grosor del hilo, me gusto el ancho y el color me fascino porque pienso ponérmela con mi chaqueta nueva de jean.

That's why I unknitted and looked for the simplest model, I loved it, it was beautiful and the best thing is that it was easy to make.

Step by step I was knitting every moment I could, when I was watching a movie, after lunch or when the night fell I also took the opportunity to knit.

I liked everything, I liked the thickness of the yarn, I liked the width and the color fascinated me because I plan to wear it with my new jean jacket.

Sé que a muchos este tipo de proyectos le parecen muy largos, tediosos, repetitivos, pero yo les digo que cuando ves materializado eso que era un sueño en realidad todo se siente distinto. Se siente mucha satisfacción y felicidad.

I know that to many this kind of projects seem very long, tedious, repetitive, but I tell you that when you see materialized what was a dream come true, everything feels different. You feel a lot of satisfaction and happiness.

Ahora me gustaría contarles un poco de como la hice:

Materiales que utilicé:

150 gramos de lana.
Aguja de crochet numero 2,5 mm
Aguja lanera
Y muchas ganas de tejer.

Now I would like to tell you a little bit about how I made it:

Paso a paso.
Tejemos 40+3 cadenetas, hacemos la primera vuelta de puntos altos, luego levantamos tres cadenetas para empezar cada vuelta y tejemos en la segunda vuelta un punto alto y una cadeneta, saltamos una cadena de base y tejemos punto alto en el siguiente punto. Así hasta terminar esa vuelta. Repetimos una vuelta de punto alto en cada punto de base, y repetimos la vuelta dos es decir, punto alto, cadena y punto alto saltado un punto de base. Así seguimos hasta obtener el tamaño deseado, en mi caso era de 150 centímetro de largo.

Step by step.

We knit 40+3 chains, we knit the first row of double crochet, then we pick up three chains to start each row and we knit in the second row a single crochet and a single chain, we skip a base chain and we knit a double crochet in the next stitch. This way until the end of that row. We repeat one row of stockinette stitch in each base stitch, and we repeat row two, that is to say, stockinette stitch, chain and chain and skip one base stitch. This way we continue until we get the desired size, in my case it was 150 centimeters long.

Para finalizar unimos las dos puntas con aguja lanera y listo.

Como ven la podemos de varias formas, larga, dos o tres vueltas en el cuello. Particularmente la queria para dos vueltas nada más.

Y como ven eso es todo, es un proyecto que se ve grande, pero en realidad es mucho más fácil de lo que parece y lo puedes ir haciendo con anticipación antes que llegue el frio navideño.

Solo et digo que de seguro más de una querrá tener una bufanda así en su cuello, pero l más bonito será que cuando me pregunten quien la hizo de seguro me sentiré humildemente orgullosa de decir ¡Yo la hice!

To finish we join the two ends with a knitting needle and that's it.

As you can see we can make it in several ways, long, two or three rounds in the neck. Particularly I wanted it for two turns only.

And as you can see that's all, it's a project that looks big, but in reality it's much easier than it looks and you can do it in advance before the Christmas cold arrives.

I'm just saying that for sure more than one of you will want to have a scarf like this around your neck, but the nicest thing will be that when they ask me who made it I will surely feel humbly proud to say I made it!
