Hello to everyone in the Geek Zone community! Today I'm joining the community to talk about a game I recently discovered. It's Orna RPG, a game that has been around for quite some time but I didn't know about it and I was pleasantly surprised. And I'm sure that if you are a lover of retro games that combine the genres of turn-based fighting and role-playing, pixelated graphics, leveling up on your own merit, the time factor to grow in the community and the modernity of some of its mechanics (such as geolocation), you will have a new favorite. Here I tell you about it.
Orna RPG, is a game that covers the genres of fighting, adventure and role-playing. In it we will be able to choose a character that we will decide if he should be a Warrior, a Mage or a Thief. From that decision we will enter a world where, naturally, we will have to build our base with everything that refers to it. As well as, we will begin to fight with several enemies that will constantly appear in our territory. The innovative thing about Orna RPG is that it combines a Runescape style with PokémonGo, since the game will ask us for permission to access our current location and from there, move around the real world to discover new missions, enemies, objects and so on.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Geek Zone! El día de hoy me uno por acá a la comunidad para hablar sobre un juego que he descubierto hace poco. Se trata de Orna RPG, un juego que lleva ya bastante tiempo existiendo pero que desconocía y me ha sorprendido de grata manera. Y estoy segura de que si eres un amante de los juegos retro que combinan los géneros de peleas por turnos y los roles, los gráficos pixelados, la subida de nivel por mérito propio, el factor tiempo para crecer en la comunidad y la modernidad de algunas de sus mecánicas (cómo la geolocalización), tendrás un nuevo favorito. Aquí te cuento sobre ello.
Orna RPG, es un juego que abarca los géneros de lucha, aventura y roles. En el podremos elegir un personaje al que decidiremos si debe ser un Guerrero, un Mago o un Ladrón. A partir de esa decisión entraremos a un mundo dónde, naturalmente, deberemos construir nuestra base con todo lo que a eso se refiere. Así cómo también, comenzaremos a combatir con varios enemigos que se apareceran constantemente en nuestro territorio. Lo innovador de Orna RPG es que combina un estilo de Runescape con PokémonGo, pues el juego nos pedirá permiso para acceder a nuestra ubicación actual y a partir de allí, desplazarnos por el mundo real para descubrir nuevas misiones, enemigos, objetos y demás.
As soon as you start walking around (as if you were looking for a Pokémon), the game will also tell you how many steps you have taken and how many calories you have consumed, something that may motivate many to move. The game encourages you to do so. In addition, if you are an expert walker you can get some achievements by becoming an Adventurer who explores the whole territory. Of course, you should know that your "camp or base" must be placed in a place where you can always be. For example, your home. This way you avoid having to recharge your energy somewhere outside. Doing it outside your base will cost you gold.
The game has two currencies: Gold and Orns. These two are obtained when you go undefeated in combat, complete quests, go down dungeons, enter the Arena or the Dungeon. Leveling up is paramount to survival, so taking advantage of all the buffs is important. As soon as you start leveling up, for example, at level 25 you should change Class (what they call T1, T2, T3, etc.) and thus ensure a good position. It is also important to equip yourself with good equipment: weapons, clothing and accessories. Upgrading them will of course make you much stronger.
Es tal, que en cuanto comiences a caminar por allí (cómo si de buscar un Pokémon se tratara), también el juego te indicará cuántos pasos has dado y cuántas calorías has consumido, algo que quizás motive a muchos a moverse. El juego te induce a que lo hagas. Además, si eres un caminante experto podrás obtener algunos logros al convertirte en un Aventurero que explora todo el territorio. Eso sí, debes saber que tú "campamento o base", debe colocarse en un lugar dónde siempre puedas estar. Por ejemplo, tú casa. Así evitas tener que recargar energía en algún lugar en el exterior. Hacerlo por fuera de tu base te costará oro.
El juego tiene dos monedas: Oro y Orns. Estos dos se consiguen cuando sales invicto de un combate, completas misiones, bajas a Mazmorras, entras a la Arena o el Calabozo. Subir de nivel es algo primordial para sobrevivir, así que aprovechar todos los buffs es importante. En cuanto comiences a subir de nivel, por ejemplo, en el nivel 25 deberás cambiar de Clase (lo que llaman T1, T2, T3, etc.) y así asegurar un buen puesto. También es importante equiparse con un buen equipo: armas, indumentaria y accesorios. Mejorarlos, te hará por supuesto mucho más fuerte y capaz.
One thing I must say that I don't like is that there aren't enough tutorials. As I said, the game invites you to go out, adventure and look for your own solutions. However, I think it would be nice to have access to some kind of guide to help you make the job easier because Orna has a glossary of terms that is quite foreign to a new player. Asking a player to go to Discord for more information seems far-fetched to me. However, I had a long time without getting hooked on a game and this one fulfills many of the things I like. Algo que si debo decir que no me agrada, es que no existen suficientes tutoriales. Cómo dije, el juego te invita a salir, aventurarte y buscar por tu propia cuenta soluciones. Sin embargo, creo que no estaría demás poder acceder a algún tipo de guía que te ayude a facilitar el trabajo pues Orna tiene un glosario de términos bastante ajeno para un nuevo jugador. Pedirle a un jugador que vaya a Discord para más información me parece rebuscado. Sin embargo, tenía mucho tiempo sin engancharme con un juego y este cumple muchas de las cosas que el gustan.
