Remember my bell pepper plant? I started growing it a few months ago and so, almost without realizing it some peppers started to sprout. so I started taking care of it a lot more, making sure it got the right amount of light and the corresponding water, as for the fertilizer I used organic products, basically my kitchen scraps, like fruit peels, vegetables and stuff like that.
However over time I noticed that the small shoots began to fall and in fact one of the two peppers that had reached a considerable size also fell, so only one remained, anyway this did not discourage me since it is the first time I grow this type of plant, so I settled for a single bell pepper that remained on the plant which grew even more with the passage of time, was getting stronger and even began to change color, turning red.
I kept on researching on my own to give it the necessary care but always in an organic way, I do not like artificial fertilizers or any of those things that detract from the natural charm of what it means to grow in your own home.
Until it was time to harvest, about 70 days after growing it, I was very excited so I took a scissors to cut the stem, you should never tear the bell pepper because this could cause damage to the plant. In the photo you can see that besides the stem I also cut a leaf, but I did it because that leaf was showing symptoms of disease, it had a kind of white powder, which, according to what I could investigate, is called powdery mildew, it is a fungus that is transmitted through the wind, to fight it I just have to let the silver have more exposure to the sun.
This plant only gave me one pepper but I am still very happy because it is something that I grew with a lot of love completely organically, so it is very healthy, I think there is nothing that beats that. I would like to have more space to grow more products, things like garlic, onions, potatoes, anyway, but I really can't because my back yard has a cement floor and I can only plant using pots, however that doesn't discourage me at all because every Today I like this activity more.
It is a wonderful feeling to be able to cook using products from your own garden, it is satisfying to see and feel the result of your daily dedication. I took the bell pepper and mixed it with other ingredients to cook a delicious Neapolitan sauce that I later used in a homemade pizza.
Growing and harvesting plants is an activity that I like because in addition to what I mentioned above, it also allows you to learn something new every day, things about care or how to combat or prevent plant diseases, what type of natural fertilizers to use, in addition that you should never forget that you are taking care of a living being. Thank you all so much for reading and posting and letting me share with you the joy of growing and harvesting at home.

all you need in the kitchen is pepper. As an Asian who loves pepper more than anything for every dish.
Yes, I love pepper too 😃
Aunque sea en macetas has logrado algo extraordinario, te felicito. Saludos.
