Family Christmas Eve 2018 (ESP/ENG)

I still remember that Christmas Eve, the family was gathered as always, ready to make the annual exchange of gifts, my brother-in-law whom we all loved like a father was still alive (he died less than a month ago) and in our faces you can see the happiness we all had at that moment, because the moment of the exchange of gifts used to be very funny, and I speak in the past because obviously this year we will not be able to do it due to the recent death of my brother-in-law.
Todavía recuerdo esa noche buena, la familia estaba reunida como siempre, lista para realizar el intercambio anual de regalos, mi cuñado a quien todos queríamos como a un padre aún vivía (murió hace menos de un mes) y en nuestros rostros se nota la felicidad que todos teníamos ene se momento, porque el momento del intercambio de regalos solía ser muy divertido, y hablo en pasado porque obviamente este año no podremos realizarlo debido a la reciente muerte de mi cuñado.
That day, one of my sisters (the most creative) did something very nice that pleased the whole family, and that is that she decorated a billboard with many family photos, moments that we have lived together, it was like a small corner of TBT, but the most beautiful thing is that the set of photos formed a Christmas tree, crowned by a photograph of my paternal grandparents.
Ese día, una de mis hermanas (la más creativa) hizo algo muy bonito que agradó a toda la familia, y es que decoró cartelera con muchas fotos familiares, momentos que hemos vivido juntos, era como un pequeño rincón de TBT, pero lo más hermoso es que el conjunto de fotos formaban un árbol de navidad, coronado por una fotografía de mis abuelos paternos.
It was a pleasant moment, one of those that I treasure in my heart. The food was delicious, we served yucca, ham bread, hallacas and the traditional black asado that my older sister cooks every year (all this is typical Venezuelan Christmas food), but the best of all was the family company, the joy that we radiated, the memory of these moments are the ones that fill us with strength in the hardest moments.
Fue un momento agradable, de esos que atesoro en mi corazón. La comida estaba deliciosa, servimos yuca, pan de jamón, hallacas y el tradicional asado negro que anualmente cocina mi hermana mayor (todo esto es comida típica navideña venezolana), pero lo mejor de todo fue la compañía familiar, la alegría que irradiábamos, el recuerdo de estos momentos son los que nos llenan de fuerza en los momentos más duros.
