Photos and reflection on the "Hospital Los Samanes", in Aragua, Venezuela

Hello my Hive people, about a month ago I visited a hospital called "Los Samanes" and today I want to share a little of my experience with you.

Days before my mother-in-law had told me to go with her because she did not want to go alone, so I accepted. I remember that on a Monday we left very early in the morning because the place is a little far from where we live and we had to take a bus. We had to get to the hospital early; it is no secret that to be attended, at least in Venezuela, you have to get up early to arrive on time and have some guarantee that we will be attended since there are so many people in need and the public health centers do not have the necessary resources to cover all the patients who attend them.

Hola que tal mi gente de Hive, hace aproximadamente un mes visité un hospital llamado "Los Samanes" y hoy quiero compartir un poco mi experiencia con ustedes.

Días antes mi suegra me había dicho para que la acompañara ya que no quería ir sola, así que acepté. Recuerdo que un día lunes salimos muy de mañana ya que el lugar nos queda un poco retirado de donde vivimos y además nos tocaba tomar un autobús. Teníamos que llegar temprano al hospital; para nadie es un secreto que para ser atendidos, por lo menos en Venezuela, hay que madrugar para llegar a tiempo y tener cierta garantía de que nos atiendan ya que hay tantas personas con necesidad y los centros de salud públicos no cuentan con los recursos necesarios para abarcar a todos los pacientes que asisten a ellos.

It turns out that when we arrive at the place, they give us the information that that day was "no work", I don't remember specifically the reason. The truth is that my mother-in-law and I let's say that we missed the trip.

However, I did not waste the moment so I decided to get to know the place a little, and one of the things that caught my attention were the spaces and green areas that it has. They are ideal to delight and enjoy the environment, with a nice view and beautiful gardens.

Resulta que cuando llegamos al lugar, nos dan lo información que ese día era "no laborable", no recuerdo específicamente la razón. Lo cierto es que mi suegra y yo digamos que perdimos el viaje.

Sin embargo, no desaproveché el momento por lo que decidí conocer un poco el lugar, y una de las cosa que llamaron mi atención fueron los espacios y las áreas verdes que este posee. Son ideales para deleitarse y disfrutar del ambiente, con una agradable vista y con lindos jardines.

Besides that, in the garden area there was a figure that caught my attention and to be honest my mother-in-law and I were wondering what the meaning of this curious and "beautiful" monument was, and although it lacks maintenance, it is still interesting to see this work in front of a hospital.

Además de eso, en el área del jardín estaba una figura que llamó mi atención y para ser honesta mi suegra y yo nos preguntábamos que significado tenía ese curioso y "hermoso" monumento, y aunque le hace falta mantenimiento, aún así es interesante ver esta obra en frente de un hospital.

Too bad, I did not have the opportunity to access the internal spaces of the hospital, the little I could detail was the waiting room, and that area lacks a little maintenance unlike others that are well conditioned and in good condition.

In general, in my opinion, this hospital, both inside and outside, despite the lack of equipment and resources it needs, provides comfort and care. I hope that in the not too distant future this hospital, as well as many others, can be restructured and equipped to provide better assistance to the community.

Lástima, no tuve la oportunidad de acceder a los espacios internos del hospital, lo poco que pude detallar fue la sala de espera, y esa área le hace falta un poco de mantenimiento a diferencia de otras que sí están bien acondicionadas y en buen estado.

En general, a mi parecer este hospital tanto en su interior, como el exterior a pesar de la falta de equipos y recursos que este necesita, brindan comodidad y atención. Deseo que en un futuro no muy lejano tanto este hospital como los hay muchos, puedan ser reestructurados y equipados para una mejor asistencia a la comunidad.

Nothing like going to hospitals where they have the necessary resources, that would be an important humanitarian aid, since nowadays there are few people who have money to buy medicines and perform examinations. It is sad, it really is, but it is the reality that today we are living most of the hospitals and outpatient clinics in Venezuela; they are in poor condition and without working equipment so many people lament the situation, while others take advantage of the little and much help they can receive by being treated and medicated.

Nada como ir a hospitales donde tengan los recursos necesarios, eso sería una ayuda humanitaria importante, ya que hoy en día son pocas las personas que tienen dinero para adquirir las medicinas y realizar exámenes. Es triste, de verdad que lo es, pero es la realidad que hoy día estamos viviendo la mayoría de los hospitales y ambulatorios en Venezuela; están en mal estado y sin equipos de trabajo por lo que muchas personas se lamentan de la situación, mientras otras aprovechan la poca y mucha ayuda que pueden recibir al ser atendidos y medicados.

That day although it seemed to be a waste of time, for me it was not. I visited a hospital that I did not know (I am new living in this state), I was able to share with my mother-in-law, I photographed this structure, I reflected on health and the situation in Venezuela and I was able to share it with you.

Ese día aunque pareció ser una pérdida de tiempo, para mi no lo fue. Visité un hospital que no conocía (soy nueva viviendo en este estado), pude compartir con mi suegra, fotografié esta estructura, reflexioné sobre la salud y la situación en Venezuela y pude compartirlo con ustedes.
