Hola amigos de la comunidad Liketu. En esta ocasión quiero contarles acerca de mi visita a la tercera villa fundada por el español Diego Velázquez, Trinidad.

Después de un tiempo prolongado sin visitarla, decidí emprender un viaje hacia uno de los lugares más bellos de Cuba. Se distingue por sus estrechas calles adoquinadas, preciosos edificios restaurados, majestuosas iglesias y fantásticos patios, que le otorgan la maestría a este hermoso lugar.

Luego visité el museo de historia municipal donde se puede conocer la historia de Trinidad desde su fundación, pasando por el comercio de esclavos, el esplendor en la industria azucarera, las luchas por la independencia o la crisis del sector azucarero, a través de documentos, obras de arte y otros objetos. Lo más impresionante del lugar son las maravillosas vistas que se pueden vislumbrar desde lo alto.

El día 30 de octubre de 2019, la ciudad de Trinidad fue declarada por la UNESCO como Ciudad Creativa del Mundo en Artesanía y Artes Populares, convirtiéndose así en la primera ciudad de Cuba en poseer esta condición en tales acápites.

The most impressive part of the place are the wonderful views that can be seen from the top.

On October 30, 2019, the city of Trinidad was declared by UNESCO as Creative City of the World in Crafts and Popular Arts, thus becoming the first city in Cuba to hold this status in such chapters.
