Educating in philosophical reflections of Spinoza: “Desire is the true essence of man”
"El deseo es la verdadera esencia del hombre", Spinoza.
What is the essence of man?
In particular, the essence of man should be to be able to live doing good, being happy and helping others, however there is something that is a fundamental essence that is above all the above mentioned, and it is the fact of acting with desire.
We could say that the true essence of the human being is desire, because if we have desire to live, we will take care of our health, if we have desire to fight for something, we will do everything in our power to be victorious, when there is desire to do something that we believe that benefits us, it drives us to act in favor of achieving our goals.
Without desire there is no passion, without passion there is no conscious life, life to have a permanent sense we must act with passion to what we do, that shows others to act with desire, sometimes we want so much to get something out of life, we fight to get it regardless of the adversities we have to overcome on the way.
There is nothing in the world that inspires us more to strive for success than the intrinsic desire to achieve it, we can want it, but if it is not with desire what we long for, then perhaps we will not get with the expected results what we want to achieve so much.
The essence of life can result from many variables, but when we talk about the essence of man as such, we could say that what most helps us to stand out and be recognized is when we act before life wishing with passion everything we want to achieve.
