The Museum of Architecture (MUSARQ, for its acronym in Spanish) is located on Bolivar Avenue, a central and cultural area, the projection is to make this avenue a cultural corridor that leads to the Teresa Carreño Theater. We can find the National Art Gallery, the Museum of Prints and Design, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Sciences.

The MUSARQ has a design that I could not describe exactly, its facade consists of aluminum panels that create a separation from the outside environment, creating very cool spaces, and this temperate environment is reinforced by the side garden and two vertiginous balconies on the 3rd floor, which when opened the breeze flows freely throughout the space. But if I had to say something, I'd say it's industrial.

El Museo de Arquitectura (MUSARQ, por sus siglas en español) está ubicado en la avenida Bolívar, una zona céntrica y cultural, la proyección es hacer de esta avenida un corredor cultural que desemboque en el Teatro Teresa Carreño. Podemos encontrar la Galería de Arte Nacional, El Museo de la Estampa y el Diseño, el Museo de Bellas Artes y el Museo de Ciencias.

El MUSARQ tiene un diseño que no sabría describir con exactitud, su fachada consta de paneles de aluminio que crean una separación del ambiente exterior, creando espacios muy frescos, y este ambiente templado se refuerza con el jardín lateral y dos vertiginosos balcones, en el piso 3, que al abrirlos la brisa fluye libremente por todo el espacio. Pero si tuviese que decir algo, diría que es industrial.

The distribution of space in the museum is very versatile, there are simply three open spaces, located on three different floors, with the help of panels and bases and hanging information from the ceiling, you can make each space change according to the requirements of the exhibition on duty.

In these spaces different groups make life, on the one hand the AfroYoga Group uses its garden to teach yoga classes, the garden is also used by a circus group dedicated to make pirouettes on the fabrics that hang from its large trees, as well as a group of Bio-Dance and architecture students who receive, in these large spaces, master classes and exhibit their work, with the help of the carpentry that the museum has in its basement.

La distribución del espacio en el museo es muy versátil, simplemente son tres espacios abiertos, ubicados en tres diferentes pisos, con la ayuda de paneles y bases y colgando la información del techo, se puede lograr que cada espacio cambie según los requerimientos de la exposición de turno.

En estos espacios hacen vida diferentes grupos, por una parte el Grupo AfroYoga utiliza su jardín para imaprtir clases de yoga, el jardín también es usado por un grupo circense dedicado a hacer piruetas en las telas que cuelgan de sus grandes árboles, así como un grupo de Bio-Danza y los estudiantes de arquitectura que reciben, en estos grandes espacios, clases magistrales y exponen sus trabajos, con la ayuda de la carpintería que dispone el museo en su sótano.

Despite its industrial character, the environment is cozy, and is designed to receive large format works, with its double height ceilings and ceilings in clean work, are ideal to receive the most grandiose structures or the craziest proposals of the city's events.

We approached this museum with the need to tell the story of Caracas, so we are organizing an event that involves the chronicle and chroniclers, specifically those who live in Caracas, and artistic work as another way to tell the story of the urban evolution of Caracas, scheduled for next month. What I will be talking about in the future.

This organizational visit allowed us to see other spaces that were off-limits to the public, such as the offices and the basement where the parking lot and the carpentry shop are located.

A pesar de su carácter industrial el ambiente es acogedor, y está pensado para recibir obras de gran formato, con sus techos de doble altura y sus techos en obra limpia, son ideales para recibir las mas grandiosas estructuras o las mas locas propuestas del acontecer citadino.

Nos acercó a este museo la necesidad de contar a Caracas, así que estamos organizando un evento que involucra la crónica y a los cronistas, específicamente los que hacen vida en Caracas, y el trabajo artísticos como otra manera de contar el devenir urbano de Caracas, programado para el próximo mes. De lo que les estaré hablando en el futuro.

Esta visita organizativa, nos permitió conocer otros espacios, vetados al público, como las oficinas y el sótano donde está el estacionamiento y la carpintería.

The lack of lighting in the offices is due to the efforts of MUSARQ's Executive Director, architect Alejandro López, to save energy, but this does not affect the work of the offices because they have direct access through a large sliding glass door that gives access to the museum's grandiose garden.

It was precisely in the garden that we had our meeting, where we discussed logistics and all the requirements we need for the event of the Caracas chroniclers that we are organizing for the anniversary of the founding of Caracas at the end of next month.

La falta de iluminación de las oficinas obedece al empeño del Director ejecutivo del MUSARQ, el arquitecto Alejandro López, del ahorro energético, pero esto no ve afectada las labores de las oficinas por tener acceso directo, a través de una gran puerta corrediza de vidrio que da acceso al grandioso jardín del museo.

Justamente en el jardín fue nuestra reunión, donde abordamos temas de logística y todos los requerimientos que necesitamos para el evento de los cronistas caraqueños que estamos organizando para el aniversario de la fundación de Caracas a finales del próximo mes.

We also did the pre-tour looking for the most suitable spaces for the programming of that day, which includes a photographic exhibition, a live image of Caracas, the christening of a book, a tasting of typical Caracas food, a discussion and the presentation of a performance ending with the great musical closure.

It is a space so open to new ways of relating, that during our meeting with the museum director, a black cat came to sit on my lap, and then wandered freely through the offices, and it feels so free this cat bit my finger and left it sore all morning.

También hicimos la pre-gira buscando los espacios mas idóneos para la programación de ese día, que incluye una muestra fotográfica, imagen viva del quehacer caraqueño, el bautizo de un libro, degustación de comida típica caraqueña, el conversatorio y la presentación de un performance terminando con el gran cierre musical.

Es un espacio tan abierto a nuevas maneras de relacionarse, que durante nuestra reunión con el director del museo, una gata negra vino a sentarse en mis piernas, y luego deambuló libremente por las oficinas, y se siente tan libre esta gata que me mordió el dedo y me lo dejó adolorido toda la mañana.

When the time comes for the event, I will send out invitations so that those who are nearby and wish to attend can do so, because we are focusing the meeting of chroniclers as an activity that not only wants to pay tribute to the word, it also comes from the depths of Hive and everything we have learned and enjoyed here on the platform, and just as it helps us to bring the history of Caracas, we want to tell the special way to transmit knowledge, knowledge and experiences of our city, which is a whirlwind of celebration and chaos.

Cuando llegue el momento del evento, haré llegar las invitaciones para que los que se encuentren cerca y deseen asistir puedan hacerlo, pues estamos enfocando el encuentro de cronistas como una actividad que no solo quiere homenajear la palabra, también nace de las profundidades de Hive y de todo lo que hemos aprendido y disfrutado aquí en la plataforma, y así como nos ayuda a llevar la historia de Caracas, queremos contar la manera especial de transmitir saberes, conocimientos y experiencias de nuestra ciudad, que es un torbellino de fiesta y caos.

I could not go out completely to the balcony, because my legs ached from the vertigo that causes me to lean out at this height not so high. These have been my impressions of this magnificent place of encounters and ideas, an open place waiting to be filled with shapes and volumes, which accepts in its spaces other types of expressions, beyond the merely architectural, and where diverse spaces for the artistic expressions of our city converge.

No pude salir por completo al balcón, pues me dolían las pernas del vértigo que me provoca asomarme a esta altura no tan alta. Pero que muestra al testigo insigne de la evolución de este museo, el Nuevo Circo de Caracas, antigua plaza de toros hoy redimida en un espacio de entretenimiento y escuela de circo.

Estas han sido mis impresiones sobre este magnífico lugar de encuentros e ideas, un lugar abierto esperando para llenarse de formas y volúmenes, que acepta en sus espacios otro tipo de expresiones, mas allá de lo meramente arquitectónico, y donde confluyen diversos espacios para las expresiones artísticas de nuestra ciudad.
