“The thing is, you have to be careful when cutting and peeling young coconuts. "Don't let your hands get injured because you don't really understand the technique," he said.

The coconut ice business may seem like a simple small business, but Yanto admits that he has enough to support his family from the profits from the business.
He claims he can consume 100 young coconuts per day with an income of around IDR 1.5 million to IDR 2 million per day.
"Even so, sales of coconut ice are not always high. During the rainy season, sales of coconut ice have the potential to drop drastically. "Overall, it's unpredictable, if it's really hot now, there will be quite a lot of people buying," he said.
On the other hand, sales location also plays an important role in increasing income. Yanto chose a location in South Jakarta on a roadside busy with other food and beverage traders.
"The advantage there is, I'm the only one selling coconut ice. "That also has a significant impact on my income," he said.
Yanto also gave a few tips, he said it was no problem to sell coconut ice anywhere, but it had to be in an area where there were lots of people passing by.
"It's best near schools or offices," he said.
The young coconut business that can be done anywhere in Indonesia is reflected in Arwendi Susanto's experience. He is one of the young coconut ice entrepreneurs in West Sumatra.
Arwendi said that many people still buy his coconut ice business even though it is not sold in big cities. "Currently, the average net profit from my coconut ice business is around IDR 3 million per month," he said.
The product that Arwendi sells is pure young coconut ice without any additions. The reason is that people in the area still consider pure young coconut to be a medicine that can cure various diseases from fever to sore throat.
