Day 2345 | Walk To Ikea & 200 Push Ups !

I started a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and used this account as a personal blog to keep track of all my activity. I enjoyed it and continued afterward trying to build better habits and find a good balance between health, fitness, work, entertainment, and my personal life...


Not all too much was going on Friday aside the fact that I managed to get 200 Push Ups in and this without really having sore muscles the day after from what I feel like. One of my lamps broke down so I took it as an opportunity to walk to take a walk to the ikea to get some steps in getting closer to my weekly goal. I did end up eating there a Vol-au-veggie with an extra kids menu which also included an ice cream. That was my only real food intake for the day.

I now have an averaeg of 13400 steps still to go in the 2 days of the weekend which won't be easy as it's busy because of the football matches. So instead of doing 1 daily walk as in the first 5 days of the week, I likely will do multiple shorter one.

New Day Goals: I aim to do more steps and maybe try doing 200 incline bench presses today. As for food I aim to eat a smoothie in the morning and prepare chick peas with cherry tomatoes in the late afternoon with an eye to have a 2 nights and 1 day fasting after.

I for sure wouldn't be nearly as disciplined if I didn't keep this daily journal blog. That really helps a lot.

Do you do 100 push ups in a row? I struggle to get to 20, which is actually my latest personal best. The last two are never very good. 🤣

I tried my max a couple weeks back which was 25. Right now I just tend to spread them throughout the day which I guess limits the effectiveness and the discomfort the day after. It does give me a sense that they add up but I might try doing more of them in shorter time spans.

It's probably not a bad idea to spread them throughout the day. Recently I was listening to someone who was saying that it's more beneficial to us to be moving regularly throughout the day than being sedentary for most of the day with a burst of heavier exercise just once a day. I also suspect even doing them in stress throughout the day will still build up how many you can do in a row better. I wish I had the time to fit in more sessions throughout the day.

A bit like my day yesterday. Got to 3pm and not got to 1500 steps.

Day before someone stood on high pressure water hose while my wife was using it. Did the walk to hardware store to get a replacement. Took a few photos and bought beer on the way back. Steps done

No push up though - did enough of those in the army

Nice work. Sorry I did not number my actifit posts - every day since it started is a lot of posts.

It's crazy how fast time flies as I've kept the days and also how much of a habit making a daily jounal has become. The main purpose remains that it mpostly avoids me from going totall off track if anything.
