Special Forces earn their reputation by the exploits they perform, and the effects of their work. In order to be considered one of the best Special Forces there has to be clear results to show that the military unit is effective.
It must also be stated that intelligence gathering is just as important as the actual engagement because it would help reduce the incidences of acts of terror, and other forms of insecurity.
For instance Egyptian 777 & 999 units, besides their advanced training and equipment, are among the few special forces in the world to have successfuly eradicated terrorist cells such as ISIS in Sinai in urban warfare, despite the limitations on number of forces allowed in the area due to the peace treaty with Israel, using intelligence gathering capabilities, reconnaissance, effective targeting, ambushing and counter ambushing, a treat even the most advanced western special forces struggle to pull off, with a history of successful behind enemy lines operation against regular armed forces.
# I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the following individuals for their exceptional contributions:
they stood by me to vote for me
