The rush and Pick game during family dinner ends with me!
This week's hive learner prompt reminds me of the time when I and my siblings still lived with our parents.

I was the last born and my siblings are much older than me, there is 9 years gap between my age and the ages of my immediate brother so you can imagine the rest... By the time I grew up a little, the two eldest were no longer living with us.
So this is about my three brothers and me, whenever mom cooks, she always shares the food equally and asks us to carry one, but you know no matter how equal you think you share something, one will always be more than the other so my brother used to rush the plates and would even weigh them to know the one that contains more food but for me, I was okay with any of the plate because at the end I will still give out some of my food to them because I can't finish it.
That lasted for some time, then I grew bigger and also started rushing the plate with them lol since they have put a drum in my stomach that can contain more food..
A Few years later, I went to live with my sis, and it was just her and her husband so there was enough food and also no one to play the rush and pick
game with lol, she would serve me and if I was not satisfied, I can always ask for more since there is still some quantity left in the pot of Food, unlike back home that everything in the pot would have been shared and if you are not okay, you are on your own!

Eating together was fun back then too but I think it would be more fun if there was a surplus of food left in the pot at all times this only happened on a few occasions and even though we ate together, there was no dining table or that sort of thing, but we all eat together in the sitting room.
Eating together creates memories, I still remember how I used to eat together with my dad in his special dish many years ago and I don't think I will ever forget such memories, evergreen!
As for dinner, We do not always wait for my dad to get home in the night before we eat, my mum would keep his food for him, it was the same with my sister too and her husband and I won't expect my wife to wait for me to return home before she eat...
My lifestyle now that I have a fiancee, I do not eat alone, we eat together all the time when it has to do with the three meals of the day but man shall not survive on just 3 meals a day, so I eat other foods aside the main three meals and still she joins me to eat that too unless she doesn't like the type of food am eating... This makes the relationship grow as the bond keeps getting stronger... I believe when we have a child too, it will be us and the children eating together as a family and my job is to provide enough for the family and put an end to the rush-and-pick game.

As long as we spend time with family members, it creates memories and dining together is one of the best opportunities. It doesn't matter what we eat, the only thing that matters is we eat together and we spend quality time together. It helps to share thoughts and improve our relationship.

Some people see eating together as a poverty lifestyle, lol
It’s a way to unite the kids. It’s a way to make sure that they do things together. You may not be there tomorrow but you will be test assured that your kids will be united
we can't link eating together as poverty, having the kids relate well with one another is very important so they can be there for oneanother when you are gone
