Splinterlands Card Strategy Guide : Camouflaged My Team!
Hello Splinter nerds
Sometimes it is stressful trying to predict what the opponent will use, you might think the opponent will use sneaky monsters but end up attacking your front line and your front is a flop cause you expected and set a tactic to counter sneaky monsters... Other times you would think they will use Snipe and come up with a lineup to counter Snipe but they will use something else, though sometimes your predictions may be right too, why go through that hassle when there is an easy way to stop the Snipe and sneak.
The best way to counter this and stop messing up your mind is to use a summoner with the Camouflage
ability! the only summoner that possesses this ability until now is Lily shield paw all monsters that possess the camouflage can not be directly targeted unless they are in the front position and also they can be hit by random attacks by monsters with scattershot
ability.
With this special ability, I do not need to worry about the opponent sneaking on me or sniping my team, he will have no choice but to attack my front lineup first and this is the reason why the player also needs to use a very strong tank that can withstand a lot of attacks because it will be the main target.
Aside from using a strong tank, I also use supportive rear monsters to keep the tank alive which is by using monsters with heal tank, repair, cleanse, and any other buffs that would strengthen the tank...
To demonstrate the theory analyzed above, I had a battle with 3 ruleset.
The first rule indicates that all monsters have the enrage ability, the second ability indicates all monsters have the cripple ability and will lose 1 health permanently with every attack on them, and lastly, the heavy metal rule set which means only armored monsters can be used and makes it hard cos the only monster with heal tank and armor is in the earth splinter which is not available in this battle so we both have to come up with our team with heal tank to support the tank.
We came up with the best team our brain could think of, our tank was the same but our reason for using it might be different so let me explain the reasons for each monster on my team.
Solace Ashinach
This was my first card and like I said, I placed it there because I felt it could do some return damage back to the opponent's monsters before the opponent could attack my fighting monsters and it did amazingly well, I was skeptical about using it cos it will activate the rage of the opponent team then I remember he is coming with armored monsters. xd
Grimbardun Smith, Rage and, Nimbledook Explorer
These 3 monsters work together, I used Rage
to supply Grimbardun and Nimbledook
magic power with his weapon training
ability, Grim was the monster in the second position and it slowed down the opponent before it got eliminated, Rage was the monster I relied upon because it has leech and its health will keep increasing with every successful attack from it.
Nimbledook is one of the new rebellion reward cards, rarely see it in battle cos it is a nonattack monster but this card is good plus it can heal itself and possesses armored strike so I decided to give it a chance in this battle and it did amazingly well, also protected the team by giving all +2armor each.
Aves Sturgis & Albahoo Forester
Aves is another weapon-training monster and it helps to power up Albahoo, all my nonattack monsters had +3 magic power which is the highest they can get from weapon-training monsters, the opponent came with magic monsters too but he used 1 range as well which was useless cos of my tank armor...

Standard, you were thinking like your opponent, it was like the battle of the magic cards but then, I think you just had the more magic damage and won.
You’ve got some nice tactics
Good job!
