Happy weekend y'all and I wish you a befitting weekday ahead. This week's Splinterlands battle mage secrets is Up close and personal

This is a rule set that only Melee monsters can be used in battle, I love this rule because the options of attacks are limited, the opponent can either sneak on you, use the opportunity monster, or attack your tank unless you use a monster with the taunt ability in the rear positions.

We have melee monsters with a double mode of attack, for example War Chaang has a range and melee mode of attack, this kind of monster can also utilize the scattershot ability if it is given in the rules.

I was given two other rule sets, The first one is the Ferocity which does not favor monsters with the Taunt ability because all monsters have fury which does double damage to taunt monsters and the second rule was Equal Opportunity in this ruleset, all monsters attack the monster with the lowest health in the opponent team.*

One good thing about this battle is that only melee monsters can be used so both players know what the other is likely to come up with. We need monsters with a lot of armor and also monsters that can destroy armor.

Forgotten one

This monster was my tank and it is one violent melee monster due to its retaliate and pierce abilities, I was not surprised the opponent also used it as their tank, it did amazing great retaliating but the opponent was able to eliminate mine.

Living Lava

The living lava is one of the most used melee monsters in the Fire Splinter and that is because it is suitable to be used as a tank, it helps to remove armor from the opponent monster in this battle and the thorn in its body is quite useful too.

Disintegrator

This monster helps to reduce the melee attack of all the opponents by -1 It also has retaliate and trample ability but it was not given much chance to fight because of some other monsters I used that completed the task.

Ferox Defender

Ferox gives +2 armor to all monsters on its team and also has the ability to repair their armor, I love it for those two abilities and that is why I used it to protect my other monsters.

Drybone Raider

The raider is the MVP of this battle, I won mainly because of it, it helped to destroy the opponent's dumacke armor which made the opponent vulnerable to more attacks coming from my team.

Dumacke Roc

The Roc paved the way and put the opponent at a disadvantage when it retaliated the attack the opponent launched at me, It added to the chance of my victory.
