Olivia Of the Brook isn't like one of your random reward cards, she is special!

Olivia of the Brook is one of the newly released rebellion reward cards. I have written about it in one of my old posts, how I loved her Mimic abilities and the struggle to level her up to 2 cos It is an epic monster. It is scarce in the loot chest but I was eventually able to get 4bcx enough to upgrade it to level 2 to gain the mimic ability.

This monster is unlike the other monsters you know because it has a unique ability that can't be found on others but what really made it amazing is that the ability is awesome!

The Mimic ability made it possible to copy 1 ability from the opponent's team at the beginning of each round and to crown it all, it is difficult to dispose her of those abilities as it will take a monster with dispel ability one ability per round to get rid of all the abilities she possessed.

I was paired in a 3 combo ruleset with Lorkus

The first rule was Even Stevens which signifies that only monsters with even mana can be used, the second rule was Fog of War all monsters lose the sneak, snipe, and opportunity ability and the third rule is one of my favorite rule up close & personal only monsters with melee can be used in the battle.

As predicted the opponent and I used Eternal Tofu Summoner with the thorn ability to summon our desired monsters. You can see our lineup in the screenshot above and my focus would be on Olivia, how she gained abilities and turned the tide of the game in my favor.*

In Round 1, the opponent had a higher chance of winning because his tank and the second monster were giant, the tank had a shield to reduce the thorn impact while the second one was not vulnerable to its attack because it possessed reflection shield

I doubted if I even had the chance to win but I was hopeful to see what Olivia would do, in Round 2, she gained the Cleanse ability from the opponent's team, not to forget that I also gave her the stats from Eternal Tofu which were Scavenger and Triage.

I lost my tank Dumacke Orc to the brutal attack from the opponent Corsair Bosun which made my team Vulnerable because it is the only monster that could withstand those heavy attacks, it possesses a shield and now it is gone!

Halaran Huntress is the monster that was next after Orc died in round 2 as well which was also expected because it has nothing to protect her, which marks the end of the second round.

In Round 3, Olivia gained another ability, and this time, she got the giant killer ability which is from the opponent's tank, yet I lost another monster in this round, Fungus Fiend while the opponent's team is still intact with no loss whatsoever.

In Round 4, She gained Corrosive ward and I was able to eliminate the opponent tank, thanks to Vulguine who made that possible but lost its life in the process too, I lost soul fiend too in this round which makes the game 1 against 3, I had 1 monster left which was Olivia and the opponent has 3.

In Round 5 which is when the game started to get interesting, she gained Reflection Shield and lost 4 health to the opponent's attack leaving her left with just 4 health, anyone would have thought that it was a loss battle for me.

I did not understand the mimic battle well until this battle, whenever Olivia attacks, she also has a 25 percent chance to copy 1 ability from the monster it attacks, so in round 5, she was able to copy a divine shield from the opponent making 2 abilities she gained in that round.

Round 6, She gained swift ability and the divine shield protected her against the opponent monster's vicious attack and the reflection shield also protected her from the thorns when she attacked.

It all got confusing in Round 7 because when the opponent attacked her, she was supposed to lose the divine shield but it remained intact and that made the opponent attacks powerless until it was eliminated, left with two weak monsters, the opponent had no choice but to accept defeat even before the battle ended and that was how Olivia made me proud.
