Maxing your rebellion reward cards is a necessity for top accounts
Hello Splinter nerds
I spent this week combining and maxing some of the reward cards on Emp, a good deck combined with a good player is a good combo, it increases the win rate... This makes glint very important as that is the Spinterlands token that can be used to purchase the Rw cards but the problem is glint can not be purchased, it can only be earned!.
I earn nothing less than 800 000 Glint per season but it is still not enough to max all the reward cards coupled with the fact that I also used to purchase energy with the Glint sometimes but I did not like how I suffered defeat from opponents with max reward cards so I decided to focus on maxing mine as well and for this season, I made sure to max all the common reward cards.!
We have a total of 12 common cards in total and I have gotten all maxed out, the plan is to max out the rare cards next season and it goes on like that till I max everything then I will focus on the gold cards.
I checked the Chaos market yesterday and was surprised to see it as such a low price, 1 chaos price now sells for 1.6 hive, who would have even imagined it would get so low, I bought 8 packs but was not impressed with the result so not sure I want to keep buying.
I had a battle in which I used one of the newly maxed reward cards.
It was a 3 ruleset battle:
The first rule was Stampede which makes it possible to trigger the trample ability multiple times as long as the trampled monster dies, the second rule was Briar patch all monsters have thorn ability which makes the trample useless cos only melee monsters possess the trample ability and no way I want to use a trample in a thorn rule set, the last rule was unprotected all monsters have no armor neither do they gain armor from summoner stats.
The last rule makes all the monsters Vulnerable, to win this kind of battle, the player needs to work on the speed of their monsters, speed and fierce attackers win in this kind of battle.
The opponent and I used Conqueror Jacek as seen in the screenshot above, Jacek gives +2 speed and also his scattershot stat would be pretty useful in this unprotected battle.
We used the same splinter and summoner but our monsters were different and only two were the same.
We both added +4 speed to the team including those gotten from summoners and monsters, the only difference was that I used a monster with a
slow
ability which slowed down the opponent team by -1.I used a monster with the
Taunt
ability which the opponent didn't but that doesn't give me an additional advantage since we both used Jacek with the scattershot attack.
This battle was a close one but one thing I realized that gave me an advantage was that I used 2 monsters with blast ability which further made my attacks more lethal as they got spread to the monsters adjacent to the one I attacked.
Chaos Evoker was the newly maxed reward card, it has Blast, dodge, and ambush abilities which was exactly what I needed in this battle... It did so well and am glad I maxed it!.

It takes a lot to actually focus on upgrading the reward cards. One ability from your opponent ahead of you that you don't have, then your opponent wins. 800k glint is such a lot, but well you've said it; good player with good deck, is unlimited wins and opportunities.
Have faced such a situation many times and it is painful which is why am working on maxing all asap.
It's necessary, those SPS you don't win can be saddening
