Don't let anyone feed on your ignorance
Earlier today I was scrolling through my WhatsApp status when I came across this status that piqued my interest, it says if you are interested in joining crypto, click the link below. I was curious to know what they wanted to teach so I joined.

The group chat requires the approval of the admin to join so I had to wait for hours until the admin approved my request, when I woke up, I realized that I had been accepted and the lessons and tutorial to become a crypto guru are ongoing.
The Intro in the group chat made sense actually and that is the admin asking the members to download trust wallet or token pocket wallet which are necessary to have for all crypto beginners, you need a wallet to store your treasures.
Just when the class was getting interesting and I was enjoying every bit of it, the guy dropped the bomb, he mentioned something about meta pro-space and how the members of the group should invest in it, and he dropped a picture that showed the level of investments and the reward that comes with it, I need no soothsayer to tell me that the guy has an ulterior motive, it is either he needs referral to sign up under him on whatever meta pro space means or he is just a scammer that wants to reap the ignorant ones about crypto of their money.
He called the program Billionaire program, the last one that just ended was the Millionaire program and he promised those who invested at least 20 dollars daily blah blah blah.

What was I expecting in the first place, are people willing to teach people how to make money for free? yes, they exist, but will those people take their time creating a group and addressing people? this is rare and in most cases, those who create groups and start looking for crypto noobs have their selfish reasons like this guy... Sadly some newbies would fall for this scam because only the admin can message in the group chat so no one can call him out, there was a user there reacting with a laughing emoji on his message but I don't think those who are not yet into crypto will understand the hint.
Some people will get scammed and they will see crypto as a bad thing because of this bad egg, this is why when I see posts about how to make money money, I often ignore them because I know the creators are either looking for engagement, referrals or whatever their selfish reasons may be....
As a newbie in the crypto world, You have to be skeptical about many things because we have a lot of scammers and selfish people out there ready to feed on your ignorance.
Another good example are those who advertise forex classes, they will ask you to pay a huge amount of money so they can teach you forex, come to think of it, see yourself as a forex trader who already made a lot of money from it and still making huge amount from it on daily basis, will you be interested in the crumbs from those that just want to learn? obviously no! But people don't think much, those people are feeding on your ignorance and it is your subscription fee that is making them rich!.... Wise up y'all.

Unsuspecting newbies to cryptocurrency will make those kind of mistakes, fall to scammers and the next minute they are painting crypto black. It's important for newbies in crytpo to arm themselves with information which will help them avoid falling prey to predators within the cryptosphere. You will see someone new to crytpo he's not gotten hold of the fundamental terms or how things work and he wants to make millions. They are the ones to be blamed.
Nah, i dont think the newbies are to be blamed in this situation, everyone is desperate to make money so people would believe anything they are told since they have heard stuffs about how crypto is making people millionaires and billionaire, it is those people using their ignorance that should do better...

I’ve joined group chats like that in the past😅😅
Everything nah lie😅😅
lolz, yea they just want to make monies, they don't have the best interest of the members at heart
Like you've said, it might just be that he ran a referral program and needed a lot of people to join. People with massive referrals in web3 are making a lot of money, but for someone who wants to teach others for free, it's actually very rare like you've pointed out
yes having a community for referral is not a bad idea but the process of deceiving people to get it is what I don't like, cos if you told people you needed ref , you will still have people that willingly join as long as they can make something from it too, just like the airdrop we are doing, but this particular group, it looks suspicious and i don't think it is just about referral cos they have to pay money, so it could be a ponzi site designed by some group of scammers
Just employing a bit of logic will help us in revealing most of the prevalent schemes in crypto and the digital space in general. In most cases, the numbers just don't add up.
