I'm Done with KOMSCO Products

I normally speak very highly of KOMSCO and their products. Their quality is typically very good. As of late, their quality seems to be slipping.

I previously reviewed their Phoenix coin and it had milk spots. For bullion, it's understandable, but their products are low mintage. There's no appeal to a milk-spotted anything except silver weight.

I ordered their Zi Sin: Draco round because it has a cool dragon design on it. It does, except for multiple milk spots ruins any appeal.

I paid $13 over spot for a limited mintage, milk-spotted, silver paperweight.

If you're going to tout advanced designs, collectible stackable bullion, etc., at least make sure you're getting the basics right. I'd expect crap like this from the Royal Mint, but not KOMSCO. Apparently, their quality is slipping. Buy at your own risk.

That's on the silver itself or just the case? It's still pretty horrible that they would send it to you like that. If it's just the case it wouldn't take much to swap it out. If it's the sliver, then even worse!

No, this is on the silver. It means they didn't thoroughly clean the detergent off of the silver blanks before putting them through the minting process.

Right? There are some mints, like the Royal Mint, where you just expect it because it's always crap. I expected better from KOMSCO and the only area they don't keep disappointing is their stackables.

You are right about the Royal Canadian Mint products. Otherwise, my purchases from Komsco have been good.
