The fear of crossing the road(DROMOPHOBIA)

Hello my amazing hiveans
Trust we all had pleasant night rest.
I hope the week has been going on smoothly.
Yeah today has been a very spectacular day and also a day that I was able to assist someone to do something that I was always afraid off.lol

My Upbringing

So all my life before now, I was used to calm and serene environment, in situations where we always go out as family with our car, even during the periods when we choose to go on public transport, its no stress at all,unlike my present state in which I live.lol
I lived most of my childhood and also part of my adulthood days in the Northern part of Nigeria.
In all these places,when you stop a cab/taxi,the drivers will wait patiently for you to enter the cab/taxi/ bus and ensures that you sit comfortably before moving,you don't have to rush after bus or taxi.
And even in cases of crossing the roads,it was with so much ease because most of the drivers will even wait for people to cross,haha...and i was used to that kind of lifestyle until "BOOM" I got married and I had to join my husband who lives in the Southern part of Nigeria.(South West region).

My South West Experience.

So I joined my husband who lives in Lagos, my first outing with him was easy because we were mobile,after then I had to go for shopping for the home and my husband has gone to work, hmm so I took my shopping bag and off I went.
On getting to the bus-top, the first thing I noticed was people rushing after moving buses and jumping into moving buses and immediately my heart skipped so bad,oh my God!!!,I was so afraid,it took me almost thirty minutes for me to summon my courage and get a bus to where I was going to.
On getting to the bustop to the market,I will have to cross to the other side,ahhh,I looked and looked and looked there was no way I could cross because all the buses,cars were following each other at a very very close pace,no driver wants to stop so that I can cross,but to my surprise people were crossing,any little chance they get,they will cross,how they were doing it,I don't know.lol.
Thank God for one of the transport officials that noticed me standing for long and assisted me to cross at last.hahha.
Before the end of that year,I stated getting used to the system, I could cross the road with ease,just in few cases that I get afraid, like in case of trailer coming my way.

September to remember

So today on my way to office, I took public transport, immediately I alighted from the bus, just trekking some distance to where I would get the next cab that will take me to my office, 'I just heard "good morning ma'i turned back immediately to see who the person was, behold this beautiful lady standing at my back,and she continued 'please ma,I came here to carry out some official assignments,I am going to Ilupeju but I can't cross the road', I just smiled and I remembered my first experience also.
And she added 'ma hope you won't be late to work? I answered she should not worry that I will assist her in crossing the road.lol
I held her by the hand and told her let's go but she was drawing herself backwards because of the fast moving vehicles/ buses that were coming towards us...but I understand her very well because I was once in her shoes.LOL.
We crossed the road,I took her to the particular bus going to her destination, she was full of gratitude, we exchanged contacts and I left.
I went back to where I was coming from,took my taxi and resumed to my office, although I was an hour late to office but I was happy and fulfilled that I helped someone in need .
I settled down quite well today,although I don't have much on my table for now,so I decided to tell my hive family how happy I am today.....

The little help we render to people goes a long way in their life.
