Weekend at Bidens : Is it finally over?

You’d have to be living under a rock to not realize that the US Presidential race has just been blown open with the recent revelation that Joe Biden is not mentally fit to lead. The global corporate media are in the process of throwing him under the bus and are pretending that they didn’t really know until they saw the recent presidential debate. It was a debate organized so early in the election cycle that it looks like an obvious set up. The decision has been made that it’s time for him to go...and so now it’s time to turn the page...

Source

For many astute observers it’s been obvious for some time that Biden has been playing the role of Sock Puppet for others behind the scenes. Frequently he's just been reading from teleprompters and gaffing hard when he’s gone off script. The time has finally come to end the charade. I feel a bit sorry for the guy in the way his mental decline has been exploited and ridiculed by “friends” and “enemies” respectively. I expect he will announce his withdrawal within days for “health reasons” or to “spend more time with family” because “the job has taken it’s toll” or one of those types of reasons that politicians always use to save face when standing down after being tapped on the shoulder.

I personally never thought he’d see out his term because the warning signs were there even back in the 2020 election cycle when he was campaigning from his basement and being stage managed so hard – even before he was elected. I thought they’d replace him mid-term, but the way it’s being done now is perfect for the power brokers. By doing it at the convention they can bypass those pesky democratic primaries and hand pick the successor, while giving the new candidate a clean slate and enough runway to take a clear shot at the election. Many alternative analysts were saying this was on the cards for a long time. Now we get to watch the show...and pretend we’re surprised.

I won’t go into speculation on who the successor will be. I do have an opinion on it, but I don’t think it’s all that important. At the end of the day it’ll likely be the same people calling the shots and writing the script and it’ll just be a new fresh face up front to make the sales pitch to the American public. It’s not that I think the other guy(s) are any better and as an Australian many would say that I’m not really entitled to have a strong opinion...but I am...and I do.

Australia is a staunch ally to America. In many ways the USA is an inspiration for us. American peoples (for the most part) are truly progressive and also have wonderful traditions with a rich history too. Here in Australia we share the American Dream and we celebrate American culture. We’ve been there with our American brothers and sisters in every significant foreign conflict of the last 100 years. As someone who is staunchly anti-war and who doesn’t want to see his country follow an ally into bloodshed any more, it’s important to me who becomes the next leader of the Free World even if they are just a symbol. Whoever it turns out to be, I hope that the next US President can help to deliver us all a lasting peace.

I don't see anything (not even rampant election fraud) getting between Trump and the White house this time round. Ultimately succession has to be on the cards. California and Texas can't be in the same country much longer; and it'd have to be better than another civil war.

You are likely right, however a week can be a long time in politics let alone a month. I expect that the left will be screeching at anyone not supporting their new candidate when the "chosen one" is revealed. We'll all be getting called racists, misogynists' and bigots again soon enough.

I really hope you are wrong about the succession though. If the US divides like that it'll be the end of it as a super power and that would be very destabilizing globally.

Both candidate suck, one’s a foot from the grave, the other is a reincarnation of Hitler. The US is fucked ether way. Biden won’t make it through another term and is useless. Trump has nothing but vengeance on people he feels have wronged him. Both are a loss for the US.

What about someone like RFK? I'm not saying he can win, but if he gets a decent chunk of vote he could emerge as a viable alternative. It's the 2 party system that really sucks because it keeps throwing up these shitty candidates...

He’s a douche bag as well. No it’s the stupid fucking morns that can’t see that both candidates suck and the are to stupid to see the asshole that Trump really is and the hatred he will have. All these southern hillbilly states love him and old people that don’t know shit. He’s a dirt bag and is in Poutons right pocket. Nothing good can come from Russia. Nothing

All of our candidates suck and honestly our average citizen is out of touch with anything beyond social media echo chambers and random talking points they hear on the news.

Biden has always been used as a comedy skit and trump... Well he's a loose cannon.
I heard something about Mitchelle Obama contesting... Well, I don't know why but I heavily doubt she could win.

Many polls actually place her at about double the popularity of both Trump and Biden. Which is funny because she has always said she hates politics and has no intention of ever running for anything. It just shows, I think, how much most people in generally don't want either of the two old farts.

I am sick to the fact we have such poor choices in our candidates for political office. Not only for president, but for other political offices as well.

If you actually read the transcript, most of what Biden said at the debate actually was pretty good. It's just his delivery made it seem like he was asleep, and he got tongue-tied a few times, and of course it's those few times that the media is constantly replaying. At least he tried to say some honest things and answer the questions, as opposed to Trump who just lied out his ass, claimed to be the best at everything and most loved of all time, claimed responsibility for many of the good things that Biden did in office, and attacked everyone. Don't get me wrong—I absolutely do not want Biden again (nor Trump), but this narrative that Biden did so bad in the debate isn't really true and is the media pushing us to more fighting (as usual).

That said, I'm with @silverd510 – they both suck. The DNC forced Biden on us when pretty much every Democrat has been begging for someone else since Biden was elected last time, and Trump... well, he's taken over the other party and everyone is quick to lick his ass, swear allegiance, and buy one of the crappy Bibles that he's been peddling.

Now watch the circus. If Trump wins, he will attack his enemies as he has been very publicly saying, and we'll have some more very scary things happen in America. And if Biden wins, half the MAGA members in congress will refuse to certify the vote (as many of them have already admitted) so... well, I don't know what that will lead to. If a president isn't certified by a certain date, congress technically gets to choose the president. But I can't imagine that will go smoothly if it comes to it.

These next few months will be... interesting.

It's disgusting and embarrassing.

There are some good people doing great things in this country and I guarantee NONE of them are politicians.

Our system of government was invented by rich old white guys for rich old white guys, so I'd say it's working just fine.

I refuse to participate in that douchbagary, and will not be voting this year.

I pity the American people, the voice will not be easy, and the stakes are high…
Unfortunately, not just for the US, but for the world.

Both options suck... Biden has one foot in the grave and you know he's not making the decisions, and that alone is terrifying.... I really wish we had a strong third party here, this two party system is broken beyond repair...

I'm with you there, I'm sick of wars... That's been the state of the world since 2001 and it's really getting old...
