Coin Poker Adds a Sports Book

I have been playing Online Poker at Coin Poker because I originally wanted to check out their “Provably Fair” crypto-friendly platform and have stayed because the games themselves are half decent too. Today I got an email advising me that they’ve added a Sports Book to their platform and as a regular punter on the sports I thought I’d check that out too…

So far it looks fairly promising. The have markets for all of the major sports and even have decent markets up for the Australian Rugby League, which is where I mostly dabble at this time of year. The prices are a little bit skewed from the local markets which is GREAT although I am not sure how long that will last. What that means is that they are immediately an option for me to check when I am shopping around for prices.

Another really interesting thing is that they DO also offer In-Play Betting which is technically difficult to do in Australia. To bet In-Play here you either need to use a VPN with an Exchange (which you’re not supposed to do) or you have to phone up your bookmaker and place the bet over the phone while the game is playing. It’s quite an insane regulation and it adds enough delay to the betting process to make it difficult to get right, however government justifies the stupid rule by saying it prevents problem gamblers from frittering their money away too easily. Ok, sure, whatever.

I’ve placed a test bet today and will see how long it takes to result and whether the platform is reliable, but I like what I see so far. There are a few punters on HIVE that might be interested, so check it out. It's not available for people in the USA, but I’d be very keen to hear your thoughts on it in particular @costanza.
