We've Come A Long Way... Indeed!

Wow… we have come a long way indeed from where we used to be a year ago. And when I look back on just how far I’ve come, I feel nothing but joy and pride in my achievements. Nothing comes easy, but when you finally cross over and get closer to that point you are going for, you get to realize that it was not so difficult after all.

Everything in life is subject to growth, you have to grow or you die. That is one cardinal rule of nature; if you are not growing then you are definitely dying. And one surefire way to not grow is to stop learning. That is why we all are always looking for that new thing we are going learn. And thanks, to Hive Learners, there is something new to learn every other week.

I’ve said this before, when I first started blogging, I was not much on writing anything that was not a story. All I knew then was only story writing, and for a while, it was enough to keep me going. But then, I realized I couldn’t keep up. If I was going to make content every day, then I had to do something other than writing stories. Coming up with good storylines was enough work already, but having to do it every day?

I tried to diversify. I tried reviewing movies and books, I even did recipes and whatnot. I was trying out different things to write. But none of them seemed right to me. It was as if I was trying to do something that was not meant for me. Like the way you would feel when you wear a shoe that doesn’t go well with the rest of your clothes. It just won’t feel right. And so, I went back to story writing.

That was until Hive Learners came along. And I saw this as my opportunity to find focus on what I wanted to talk about. At first, it was not easy, I tried talking about just about anything, and making those posts always got my head feeling cloudy and heavy. By the time I’m done, I’ll be thankful that it was over and already looking forward with dread to the next post I had to make.

But then, we began the Featured Topics, providing topics for the members of the communities. Each topic was tailored to explore the individuals, their experiences, and opinions. And so, there was always something to talk about. I realized I could be good at writing something else other than stories, and that was personalized content. If whatever I am writing about was personal, then it won’t be so difficult. I just had to change my perspective and bring it closer to home.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

And thanks to the Featured Topics, I did just that. And it’s been nothing but smooth sailing since then. Thanks to Featured Topics, I was able to learn how to transfer my thoughts from my head and into words on paper. And not just stop there, I was able to learn how to see everything that was happening around me as a potential message I could share with my fellow bloggers.

If you are a follower of my posts, you will see that a lot of my non-featured topic posts center around the happenings around me. Something simple might happen to me or someone close to me, I will pick a lesson or two from it and then share it with my friends on here. The Featured Topics taught me how to do that, placing myself right in the middle of things and airing my opinions.

As I said earlier, we have indeed come a long way. And as I keep growing, I have made some great friends on the blockchain. There are those that even though you don’t chat privately, you follow their posts religiously and as such you know about them as one can possibly know from their online presence. And then, there are the ones where you just have to reach out and connect off-chain as well.

I’ve made great friends, all members of the community are my friends, and I’m not capping! I’m not exaggerating at all. Anyone that attends the Saturday Hangouts would know that very well. I try my best to be available and to be there, and I try to make it fun at the same time. Although schedule and stress can get in the way most times, but as long as it’s on my mind, it’ll definitely be done.

Hive Learners is now a part of me, it has now been etched into concrete in my history books and it will remain like that until the end of time. Everything I’ve learned and that I will keep on learning, everything I will ever do on this glorious blockchain, Hive Learners will be at the center of it all.

And I’m proud to be a member of this prestigious community!

I like your side of the story when you were finding it difficult to cope with writing stories which you tried to convert it into writing featured posts. But, now you've well fit in @hive-learners community. Thanks for your contribution towards building Hive community.

Yes yes yes!!!! Hive Learners has been a blessing to many of us.

And one surefire way to not grow is to stop learning.

Learning never stops because it's a continuous process and if one fails to learn, such a person is dead already.

Seriously, I have always enjoyed your posts apart from the featured edition because you talk about things going on around you which then makes you bring a lesson that would be inspiring for us to learn from.

Thanks to this community and I am also proud to be a member.

I think i published most of my article in Hive learners community and some this community's topic seems so interesting to me that I can't resist myself to participate. In fact I made many friends through participate there.
