This Work Is Not As Easy As It Looks...
Whether full-time or freelancing, I believe everyone can agree with me that we all want something that works best for us and gives up peace of mind even while paying the bills. These days, it’s not easy to get both. It is a bit difficult these days to do something you truly love, there are some problems involved. You might love it too much and not treat it like the business that it is, and you can also make it feel like too much work and you will then lose the love you have for it. And now, we have to talk about these two types of work. I have seen people confuse remote working with freelancing, they are actually two very different things. A remote worker basically works from home, that’s what it means. And not just from home, you can literally work from anywhere. As long as there is the internet and a computer, then you are good to go. You can be a remote worker and still be a full-time employee. Yes, and at the end of the month, you will be bagging your salaries. Most major companies hire social media managers these days, they are the ones that make posts on the company handles. It’s their job to direct traffic to the pages and make consumers want more of the products. They will make a particular number of such posts in a day and that’s how it will be. As a matter of fact, these days many companies prefer to hire remote workers because it cuts down on costs. With remote workers, you only have to worry about their actual pay, the computer they will use and the data they will use to access the internet. You won’t have to bother yourself with issues like feeding, transport, and wardrobe, which is something most companies cover as well. So, you see, remote working is something else all on its own. Now that I’ve cleared the air on that, let’s move on to the main topic. Of course, full-time employment has its benefits and demerits as well. With employment, there can be an assurance of finances as long as you are employed. Here, you are paid for your time and not for the value you put in. That’s why no matter how hard you work your butt off in a company, at the end of the month it’s still the same salary they will give to you. In this form of work, you don’t have to go and scout for clients, except it's part of the job description. The company brings the clients to you, and you answer them whether you like it or not. You don’t get to be picky with what you can or can’t have, you have no choice at all because every single decision you make has to be agreed upon by the people in charge. And if you make one single move out of line, it could cost you the job. In full-time employment, there is a process to everything. There is even a process to growth in the company, and it happens slowly and over time. You get benefits for working, things like pension, insurance, and the like. In some companies, they have plans that take care of those things for their employees. And now, freelancing is more or less just the opposite of employment. You do all the work, but you do it all for yourself and yourself alone. You don’t have to fret about making decisions, because the only one that matters is yours. Here, you are not paid for your time, you are paid for the value that you delivered. The interesting thing is that many of us limit freelancing to just the digital world, and that’s quite incorrect. It’s been in existence long before the internet became what it is today. There are freelance journalists, writers, engineers, and basically people who do their jobs on their own without the backing of any big company. The main point here is that you are solely in charge of everything. You get to choose the clients you want to work with and ignore the rest. You also have a say on how much they’ll pay you, and you can decide to increase your rates as time goes on. Your growth is totally based on you, you can easily pause working, or just readjust your schedule to accommodate your learning process There are reasons people prefer employment, there’s the security that it provides and the fact that they don’t have to be the ones to make the decisions. Also, it does not matter how they perform, they will still get paid at the end of the month. That is because they are paid for their time as I said. On the other hand, freelancing puts everything on their heads, and they have to make the decisions whether they like it or not. They also have to be good at what they do, because if they are not it will affect their clientele and that will subsequently affect their money. So, in my opinion, which would I go for? Like I said earlier on, everyone has the one they would prefer, and for me, that is freelancing. I love working for myself so much. I love being in charge of my time and getting to decide how it will go. And I also love being the one to have a final say. Although it can be scary at times because I wonder what I will do if I suddenly lost my clients. But I strive to keep on working harder so that I will always learn and I will always be the one that the clients will always return to. It’s not been easy, but I’ve been going step by step trying to become who I want. And in time, I will get there. Andrea Piacquadio

True working full time you have no choice over any decisions made rather to comply but with freelancing you are in charge of everything.
This is really good and I totally agree. Thank you very much friends for providing an interesting article for us.
Perfectly said boss
Self working is sweet and encouraging, when working for yourself, you'll discover many things and will boost your work and talent
Weldone boss
Everything has its pros and cons and nothing really is easy. Things come as a package of it.
But as long as you are doing something you like while having a comfortable environment, be it fulltime or freelancer, you can always win.
Well said boss, you've also shed more light on the topic... Of course choosing between the two is personal, for me I'll also choose freelancing.
Well written and well expressed. The two jobs have some distinct advantages. Because of this, not everyone's opinion will be the same. But for me permanent job is more preferred for security. But I love freelancing.
For one reason I am mostly choose full time employee and the reason is a freelancer always feel a different kind pressure all the day where a full time employee can feel relax after returning home. It's just my opinion.
Well said @bruno-kema
Taking control of your business schedule and all others is always sweet but the thing is if an opportunity is made to get a steady source of income through employment it's fine, just that getting employed in a place you will love is hard as you rightly said, but when there is provision for a job an individual can also combine working as an employee and also a freelancer.
Thanks for the wonderful write up boss
