Shopping is now one of the most important parts of life, whether you like it or not, it is something you definitely have to do. You have to make out time for it because not doing it might mean trouble for you. After all, we have to eat, we have to wear clothes, we need gadgets that will make life more comfortable for us, and we can only get these things when we go shopping.

Although, these days, there are people who are professional shoppers. You hire them and tell them what you want, give them the money and they will do the shopping for you, buy everything you want, and take them to your preferred location. For a fee, of course. But this trend is for those who can afford it and don’t really have the time to do the shopping themselves.

But then, as years have passed and the world of technology has evolved, every facet of our life has been touched by this evolution, and shopping is not left out. Now, you can choose to actually go out there and shop for the things you want in person, or you can relax in your home or office, place orders, and have them delivered to where you are.

And as we have grown, both methods of shopping are now at par with each other. There are people who are more conversant with one form than the other and there are those who are running both forms fluidly, using the situation on ground to decide.

So now, the question is, which of them is my preferred form of shopping?

I have to say this, I have never really been a fan of online shopping, right from the get. Although I have had to use it a few times, but I try my best to limit it to the arrest minimum. This is not because I just don’t want to move with the tides of change, it is more because online shopping is never personal for me.

When you shop online, it’s just between you, your phone, and the algorithm. Everything is fixed and there is no bargaining or pleading. You just have to trust that the product will be in top shape when it gets to you, and pray that the money you paid does not vanish.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

But then, with physical, you get to touch what you want to buy. See them with your eyes and decide if you are going with them. And many times, you can bargain the prices, beating them as low as you can. Because the traders are also humans like you, if you know how to hassle price, they might reduce it for you.

Another factor to consider is that online shopping tends to be more expensive, this is because you have to factor in the transportation of the product to your location. After all, all those dispatch riders have to be paid, right?

I have to say though, there are still some online vendors that sell at really low prices, so low that even physical stores in your area won’t be able to beat them. Although you’ll still have to pay for logistics.

One more thing about online shopping is the fact that it is never immediate. Many times, depending on your distance from the vendor, the product can take hours to get to you. And it can even take days and months. So many things can happen during transit, and you have to hold on until it gets to you. And if you had needed that particular product urgently, you would have been disappointed woefully.

But with physical, as you are paying for it, you are taking it with you. No delays, no disappointments.

Although one problem that is very conversant with physical stores is that they are usually limited in stocks. You can be looking for something and you won’t find it in one store, you might even search the entire market and still won’t find it. But online, there are so many options right at your fingertips.

And also, prices in physical stores are more easily influenced by the economic state of their geographical area than online. When your store is online, you don’t have to worry about rent, water, or even electricity bills, but with a physical store, as these bills go up, so will your price.

There are just so many things to say, but I will still prefer physical shopping. It’s what does it for me, and for now, it’s what I am most comfortable doing. Maybe, a time may come when I will not have the time and will have to do more of my shopping online. Maybe. But that day is not here yet, and for now, I will stick to my physical stores.

Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages, so it totally depends on the individual and what they prefer at that instant. Some people don't mind paying for logistics as far as they get what they want from the online store and sometimes, those online stores do offer much cheaper items than physical ones. If I realize I can spend lower on an item (including the logistics fee) and it's not a fashion item (like clothes and shoes), then I don't mind buying online

Yeah... each situation differs and it depends on what each customer is more comfortable working with. That's just us being human.

In certain cases, online shopping is better and in other cases it is otherwise, it most time boils down to where you shopping and how

Yeah you've listed almost all the important point, I also prefer physical shopping for so many reasons though both is good but one is still preferable for me.
Online shopping might disappoint you with your money and your goods, it's possible to order a thing and get another thing entirely. So I would rather go for physical shopping.

It can be very annoying, ordering one thing and getting something else. It hurts a lot. I can totally understand your choice.

Not only been more expensive you might not get what you ordered for and they might not address the issue for you meanwhile if you have go to the market by yourself you get less items and check it before taking it home

As for me I don't like online shopping anymore because they have shown me more than I want to see
So I can't keep wasting my money

I also prefer physical shopping but these two shopping options have different advantages. I have tried to share the benefits in my post. All things considered I think physical shopping is more convenient. Anyway very well written and thanks for sharing with us
