Legacy: For Ever And Always...
In this life that we are in, we find ourselves working extremely hard day and night, struggling to make ends meet. We strive to build wealth, we deny ourselves of a lot of pleasures just so that we can have a good name in public. And all these things, when we all are called to the afterlife, none of them will matter or even come with us. It’s these things that have the ability to live long after us. And when people come across things like this, it’s what will tell them a thing or two about us, letting them know the kind of person we were. Many of us don’t have a choice in what we have to leave behind. For many death just comes so suddenly and there is no time to properly get things in order. While there are those that have the time to set things right. Still, there are the things that no matter the time you are called to glory, it will always speak for ages to come. So, as for me, what are the three things I would love to leave behind for the next generation? It’s no news that each generation always tries to outdo the previous ones. Both the good and bad aspects. I remember when we were kids and we were being called wayward and stubborn because of the kind of games we played and tricks we got involved in. And now, things I would never have done when I was a kid, not even in my wildest dreams, I see kids doing them these days with ease. And no one is saying anything. So yes, they are always trying to outdo their predecessor. And that’s how it will keep on progressing until whole cultures change due to the newer trends that the younger generations keep following. And now, let me get to the core of the matter. The three things I would leave behind. • Wealth: For me, this goes way beyond money. I’m talking about financial stability that would last for subsequent generations. There will be assets of various kinds, things that will be sure to keep the money rolling in at all times. I won’t just leave fish for them, I’ll also leave the fishing tools as well. I’ll let them know the value of hard work and the role it plays in the life of the individual. Financial freedom, that’s something I’ll leave behind. So, the first thing I’ll leave behind is wealth. • Art: For someone like me that is a writer, I am a huge fan of anything that has to do with art. I see art in a lot of things, not just paintings and drawings. I find art in good music, good movies, good books, and the like. Many of these works are so good that no matter the amount of time that has passed when you revisit them, you still get entranced and pick the very message the artist had intended. I’ll let them know the value of such works and the kind of work that went into getting and keeping them • Legacy: This is the last thing I’ll leave behind. It’s one thing that really can’t be touched by the hand, or even seen for that matter. But it can definitely be felt all around us. I’ll make sure I leave a legacy that is worth emulating for the later generations. When my name is mentioned they will see my deeds pop up in their heads. And if done right, this is what truly stays long. Wealth and art can be lost and regained, but once something like a legacy goes, it’s never coming back. So it’ll be to keep them on their toes. As you can see, these are the three things I would like to leave behind for the coming generation. They are the leaders of tomorrow and how we give them the reins of the world would be how they’ll handle it. Especially seeing how fast they can learn now. There are a lot of distractions out there, things that will try to sway us from our goal. But let’s know that we are not alone, and as long as we are doing what we are meant to. Legacy!!!.you are absolutely right, the type that brings good name to the coming generation.
Everything you mentioned here is of great value and indeed important to be left behind.
Legacy is not something that can easily be forgotten.

Sounds impressive...not just leaving fish for them but teaching them how to fish.
Best wishes
