We’re back in the season of signing out again. Within the next couple of days, final-year students in my school will be writing their final papers and signing out of their departments for the last time. The exam began on Monday, and since then, we’ve written at least three papers. This means that by today, some people will be signing out, and every other day from tomorrow.

There are some final-year classes that only offer three to four courses. And depending on how the papers are spread out, it could take as little as three days to one week just to write them all. This is why I’m fairly certain that at the end of today’s paper, some students will become ex-students.

Signing out now is kind of a colorful event for students. We all have dress codes to match every single day that we get to write our exams, and there are different dress codes for each day. I already told you about the dresses that we were to wear and how I was hoping to follow up. Yesterday, we were to wear Jersey, however, I don’t have any jersey, mainly because I’m not a football fan. So, I dressed like the regular civilian that I am.

Today, we’re meant to wear Ankara. However, I don’t have any Ankara either. I did okay with the senator wear, but I don’t have Ankara at all and I’d most likely dress like a civilian again. The one I’m thinking about now is the reflective jackets that I’m looking to buy, it’s something that we’re all looking to wear on the final day, along with the whites that we’d wear so that people will sign all over them. It’s meant to be a day to remember.

It’s not every day one gets to graduate from school, and I think that by now, you all understand just how eager I am for this phase of my life to be over. Well, there’s no rush at all. I’m taking it all one step at a time. So, we’re all getting there.

It’s going to be a wet couple of days from now on. And I’m not talking about the rains. As a final-year student, walking on the road could be risky, because anyone who knows you could empty a bucket of water on your head. Hell, if you’re not even a final-year student, don’t make the mistake of wearing a white shirt. You could be mistaken for a finalist and also get a baptism of water.

If the people are nice, they’ll pour you the water from a bucket. If they’re not nice, they’ll stone you with the sachet water. So far, I’ve not decided what it’s going to be for me yet. I could decide to pretend and hide so that no one pours me water. Or I could just bear it and let the entire street rain down on me. I’m yet to make up my mind. After all, I poured some people water last year, and if I’m still in the area by this time next year, I just might pour some others water as well. So, now that it’s my turn, should I really shy away from it?

I don’t know sha, it will reduce my steeze, so I’m not looking forward to it. However, there’s no pressure at all. I’ll let my mood on that day decide for me. However, I’m feeling will decide if I get the water or if I don’t.

Well, I guess only time will tell.

If something start, it has an ending and it's natural. You are going to enter a new phase and I just hope everything will go well. Best of luck to you.

Yeah... this is the end of something I started a couple of years ago. It's also the start of something new. I look forward to that.
