I'm Finally Writing Again!
Now, this would be a first for me because every other time I have tried it in the past, something always ended up causing me to give up the project. If it was not the availability of funds, it was creative issues, or just the willpower to continue with the project. But then, I decided that this year would be very much different. I am finally going to write a book and have it published. And not just any book, it is going to be a novel. This is a big step for me, one that I have never taken before and I am really looking forward to seeing how it will go. I just hope life goes the way I see it going. It’s been a while since I wrote a story that was expressly mine. Most of the novels I’ve written in the past two years belonged to clients who hired me to ghostwrite for them. I’ve been writing and churning out bestsellers that are not even mine. And it’s about time I do something for myself. Although trying to fit this into my daily schedule is tough, so far so good I have been doing it. I have always been a person that takes great comfort in routine and having a set way of doing things. All I had to do was make a little adjustment here and there and I was able to fit it in along with my other duties. And now, I have a duty to write at least one chapter every day until the book is completed. I already have the story idea down, I have it all in my head and I have drafted an outline for how it will go. All that is left is to pour it all out. Of course, it will be a thriller. One of my favorite kinds of stories. With loads of suspense, action, and edge-of-the-seat pacing. This has always been the kind of story I write, and this time around I will be taking it up a notch. I am going to outdo myself. So far, the story is still in its early stages. I have not even named it yet, nor do I have a blurb ready for it. But I am working on getting that blurb and the moment I do, you will be the first to get it. To say I am excited about this will be a gross understatement, I don’t even think a word has been invented to describe the way I feel right now. For now, it is kind of tough, trying to keep up with everything I do. Sometimes I can’t help if one activity overlaps with the other, eating into the time. But I still have to do what I have to do. There is somewhere I am going, and I don’t mind making all the necessary sacrifices now, pushing myself further and further so that in the end I will get the prize. Apart from this book alone, I am actually making good on many of my other resolutions as well. This January has been kind of long and short at the same time. It’s been tough, but the speed with which it’s coming to an end made the toughness bearable. There is so much still out there to be achieved, and 2023 will be the year! What about you? Have you started working on your goals? The year is one month in, how far have you come? Feel free to share in the comments section, I would love to know what you’re thinking.

I remember sometime late last year when I was planning the moves I was going to make this year, some certain moves that will lead me to achieve goals I had been putting off for way too long for one reason or the other. And one of them was to finally publish a book.

Thank you for this.
I think you have taken a very good decision and I hope you will be able to finish writing it this year. In that case, I suggest being consistent otherwise it would be tough one to finish it. Best of luck to you.
I will definitely finish it. I've come too far not to.
Thank you for the advice, it means a lot.
