Here We Go Again...
Well, there goes another weekend. Out with the old and in with the new. For some reason, even the idea of tomorrow (Monday) being a public holiday doesn’t make it any less so. This is probably because I know very well that the holiday lasts only for tomorrow, and after it’s over, the usual stress and rigors return. I guess that’s why I love weekends. It’s that time of the week when I actually have time to breathe and I can take a step back from the work that is looking to choke me in its intensity. We all know how work can be, the stress, and just about every single thing about it that is designed to suck the happiness out of you. I guess if it were meant to make you happy, they would have come up with a lighter word than “Work”. I’m sure that if many of us had the power, the weekend would never end. We would just be in an endless loop of Friday nights to Sunday nights. Relaxing and having a good time as we prepare to return to work. But then, I believe that we can’t stay away from work for too long. Because how you work will determine how you will rest on weekends. Because things like rest and enjoyment don’t care if you work or not, but they will care if you can’t pay the bills. If the world became one long holiday for you, how would you eat? No amount of money is infinite, and eventually, if it is only getting out and none is getting in, you will run out. And that is why, once the Sunday comes to an end and Monday barrels in, we pick ourselves up and resume work. Even though we don’t like it. This is because it’s something we have to do. Nobody likes working, it sucks and is extremely stressful. But everyone likes having money, and everyone enjoys the ability to take care of themselves and be in charge of their affairs. So, come Monday morning, we move. Besides, weekends give us something to look forward to. Just as we hate Mondays, we see ourselves looking forward to Fridays when we would be able to take another break, even if it’s just for one or two days. I know that many people work on Saturdays, but you can’t compare the volume of work you do during the week with what you do on a Saturday. Saturdays are always lighter, and that’s what makes them fun. Although there are a few people who work fully during weekends. They are the ones who help others to relax and have a good time. And they are the hotel and restaurant staff, event organizers, clubs and the list goes on and on. While you are employing their services and taking some time to unwind, they are still hard at work and as a matter of fact, working harder than they do during the week. In the end, I guess the weekend is truly different for everyone. While there are those who use it to get the sleep they missed during the week, there are those who use it to catch up with unfinished chores of the week. Or the unfinished fun… Either way, the weekends will always be a fun and interesting time for me. It’s that time that I have less work to do and as a result, I can relax and indulge myself. But as it rolls to an end, as always, I find myself wishing it will be longer because relaxation is not something I ever want to come to an end. But then, life moves on. Even if it’s just for another six days. Because on the seventh day, I rest again. Happy Easter to you all!

Many people look up to weekend. Those days when I worked as an admin assistant in one firm, I do not only look up to weekend but to public holidays 😂😂
Time for lighter work and more relaxation is always fun to have.

Thank you for reading.
It was a nice celebration here in the village
That's the truth. We don't work then we won't get money to bear our expenses. I am sure no one want that.
Besides I think no one wants the long holiday also. I am saying it because of the experience of lock down period occurred for COVID19.
That's just the truth. If we don't work, we can't live. that's why we get up everyday and get to work.
