Using YouTube to gain marketing attraction
Our YouTube... is different.
I'm using my personal account to gain momentum there. I'll be honest and say this is a new one for me, so I'm glad I'm using my one and not our "official" one. My plan is to get good at it, and then create an official account as a spin off where I will have automatic fans to promote our channel to.
That, and I will probably have a good idea of what to do to get fans by then. This is still a learning process for me.
YouTube is a different beast compared to anything I've done before. There is actually more involved in YouTube than there is writing. In fact I'd say that you'd have to be good at writing as well if you want to do anything with the channel - because yes, script writing is a thing.
One thing I've noticed in this world is that there's no real solid crypto YouTube channels. I mean, there is, of course, but most of them act like promoters for the highest bidders, but there are no exciting official crypto channels for the public.
Like for instance CZ (BNB head) getting down and dirty with the public. Maybe a clip of CZ going into the public and asking them if any of them have tried out Binance before. I mean there is a way to mass market your token and it's definitely not via a stuffy suit with a projector and coin stats, that's for sure.
This is what I'll be looking into and I'm using my own YouTube channel as a testing ground. Right now we exist as a talking head channel, but in the future we will be so much more. I am however looking to grow that channel with its own profits, so anything new that I get will be from the channel itself, rather than using any funds we have in crypto. I'm hoping it will be a self-serving entity.
So right now I'll sit there as a talking head, getting people interested in men's mental health, but understand that this wont be our final destination; there is so much I can do and learn from there. I just need to buff my editing skills and perhaps my subject matter.
You see with writing you can be informal; many types of writing can be useful to the reader. The tone, the pitch, the subject matter and so on. But with video it's a different ball game. Not only do you have to create and plan tone and pitch beforehand you also have to sell it to your watchers too.
And that's hard.
But we'll get there. Time I have. Lots of time, as we sit here growing our lands and our assets.
The trick with this game I think is to be entertaining. Most people watch videos to be entertained. If I can add a way to be entertaining into my recordings then perhaps I will become way more successful than I currently am. But it's hard nailing down something that works. When most people look at Mental Health they think stuffy psychologists in a suit - and I am perhaps trying to break that mould.
And when I do - then we'll start a channel for the Man Cave, and we'll apply everything that works on my old channel to my new channel, and we should see quite a bit of success. Because what I've gathered is that there's definitely a system to it. It's all about topic, presentation, and entertainment factor.
So I'm hoping by the end of this year all our socials will be on another level.
But like I say, time will tell!
