Some previous posts that need some love.
So I'm learning that hive is a bit of a different beast to most blockchains out there. We seem to have a little of everything.
Elsewhere you go to certain chains for different things. Like most will go to Ethereum for gaming, and others will go to Solana for finance and meme tokens.
I'm learning that people like the way they take their ice-cream differently, and it's no different on the blockchain. So for instance if I want to connect with blockchain gamers then I have to pace my videos like this:
If you see here it's fast paced and hyped, and also my video has been criticised for losing pace at the end and getting boring. Which is understandable because I start off all hyped and excited and go off into a relaxed talking pose.
Then if I want to connect with stakers and long termers then I need to be more precise, concise and calculating with my efforts. I need to present myself as knowledgeable and sometimes a little arrogant with my voice. It's interesting, but this is what people connect with best.
One thing a lot of creators (particularly new creators) don't understand is that to garnish an audience you have to somewhat satisfy their preconceived notions of what they're going to watch. A fat man sitting in a dark house isn't the best image I would like to portray but it's all I've got at the moment so I'll roll with it.
Personally I think I'd get way more views if I was wearing a rolex and talking meme tokens all day -- but those aren't the audience I'm trying to attract anyway.
That being said that's why I seem different in almost every video and the way that I present it. You have to fill at least one ideal whilst trying not to sacrifice your own. Which is a really hard thing to do.
We all think we're going on the internet to satisfy our curiosity and learn something new but realistically we are only going on there to watch more things we already agree with. Trust me, I come from the self help niche. Most people that make it globally in that world have completely sacrificed what they originally believed in for what people want to see -- which isn't helpful.
That's why I'm happy to just plod along, growing the YouTube channel small, and we'll get there, as the world starts to focus on something new.
Here's me trying to warn you away from that behaviour.
But, give these posts some love and lets get some traction going.
Cheers guys!
I think if you try too hard it becomes less fun and then you kind of lose the drive you might have otherwise.
I don't think I'm trying too hard :) - just going at my own pace, and enjoying the process.
