The Bull Is Back

It will not have escaped anyone's attention that Donald Trump has won the elections in America. Although this seems very favorable for the crypto sector for the time being, we will have to wait and see what the long-term results will be in general. Since I do not feel like doom-mongering, I will leave it at ... "In four years we will see whether it has been as great as many people thought". For the moment I am happy that crypto has come out of the standstill and is in a period in which everything is moving, mainly upwards. Will this continue? I dare not say ... Is the sky the limit?

Just Because I Can

Let me throw out some figures. Not because I have to, but because I can. And then we see that the market capitalization of crypto has increased by $800 billion in the past 2 months. Hey, it was already before the election of Donald Trump that a bull market was slowly getting underway due to a lot of new inflow of capital. At the moment, the market capitalization of crypto is well over $2.5 trillion. In September we saw a bottom for the last time, after which the trend reversed after more than 7 months of declining market capitalization. These are some mouth-watering numbers. But although all signs are favorable at the moment, and certainly in the past five days the capital inflow was very high, more than half of the $800 billion of the past 2 months has flowed in the past five days, it remains crypto! A correction is always lurking. There were many short liquidations last weekend, and this is good news for the bulls. They seem to have the upper hand now and to maintain it.

WEN Hive?

Of course, I am happy with this movement in the crypto market, and we even see Hive slowly creeping up. But of course, a real bull run like Bitcoin has experienced is still far from Hive. It is also questionable whether Hive will still gain this momentum. Time will tell here too.

Trump's Promises

The real wait is now until the change of power in the US when Trump takes over from Biden in January. Will he indeed depose Gary Gensler? Can he make the US the crypto capital of the world? Will he manage to ensure that Bitcoin will only be mined in the US? And if so, what are the consequences? Let's be honest, if Trump wants to ensure that all miners come to America, he will probably do this by providing very cheap energy for the miners. He can only achieve cheap energy by fully focusing on fossil fuels. But fossil fuels were something we had to get rid of to combat climate change, right? Hmmm, I think I would be getting into a discussion here that I don't want to get my fingers burned in. Enough people who call climate change a HOAX. And as with everything "Believers and Non-Believers". Let me just say again that we will all see for ourselves what awaits us. Fortunately, I don't have to rack my brains about how Trump wants to achieve this, but I do think about the total security of crypto. If all Bitcoin miners are centered in the US, this poses serious risks for crypto. The stability of Bitcoin could be seriously endangered, and there is little decentralization at such a time.
