How has your web2 journey been going?

Hey guys, it seems that I, and quite a few others that I've talked to down on hive engine recently, (you know, that place where those small projects exist?), have taken to the web2 interwebs to onboard new and eager hiveans. It seems that we have worked out that the trick to onboarding people is to create something so dummy proof that the end user will never really know that they are a blockchain thing.

I'll be honest with you here, there's no way I'm going to convince the regular person to come into the BRO Token discord and learn about the crypto stuff we do. I have tried, with all my friends. The barrier to entry is just far too high. When I first joined cryptocurrency I spent at least 6 months researching what it meant to own bitcoin and even when I made my first purchase I still got fucked up the ass and scammed.

And this is the barrier level we have.

Now I'm not going to go the safety route. I don't want to treat people with kid gloves. Personally my journey has been perilous over these last 10 years I've been in the sphere. I've not only earned a hell of a lot of money, but I've lost a lot through scams and projects getting rekt.

I've had to learn financial responsibility through hardcore learning the hard way. So I, personally, think people learn best through their own fuck ups. When institutions (like Banks) pay for stupid people to fuck up then we all suffer.

Let stupid people be stupid is what I say. I was stupid when I joined but then I learned the hard way.

This is why chat is open and free in the Man Cave and you can criticise me as much as you like. It is better to know the truth than comforting lies.

But that being said, safety aside, I would like to introduce users to the community through other means and efforts. My plan right now is to just grow an audience on web2 and take it from there. That's it. We can figure the rest out later. The main thing is that we get eager and excited members.

One thing we lack here at hive is an active community. Sure there are several thousand of us but that pales in comparison to some out there. I was on some Solana tokens last year and there were more people in their community than there was on the entirety of hive. Even worse that their tokens did nothing and they were total shit.

And thus this is why I'm broadening out my reach over to twitter and YouTube. Maybe rumble too when they get a bit more friendlier to my kind of content. Yes, we have plans for 3speak, and yes, I'm going to be starting to use them more on hive.

One thing we lack over here too is proper influencers. People that know the schtick (if you know what I mean). You know, a lot of you guys talk the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk you fall short. Really fall short. It's so easy to just fire off a blog with no thought and get some hungry whale (yes they need you too) to upvote your shitpost (which I have been known to do too), but 99.99% of you never last on anything web2 related.

Why?

Because web2 forces you to get better. No-one is going to read your utter shite about your day. In fact no-one gives a flying absolute fuck about what you had for dinner or your shitcoin. No-one cares. Why should they?

Why should they care huh? Why? Ask yourself that if you want to become better at what you do.

I'm being honest today because I'm a bit fed up with the small dramas of hive, so take this on the chin, and tomorrow's another day.

But web2 forces you to come to terms with the fact that your content isn't fit for your dogs dinner -- and half the shitheads on here won't force you to either because it pays most of them (and me, hey I'm happy to upvote crap, it earns me hive) to upvote trash. Why bother? 9-12% on 100k is a lot of money.

And I can talk like that because my content has been viewed (in the past) by millions and millions of people. I once trended on the Huffington Post before it became an insane rag.

I too had to come to terms that my 250 word article on dating barely scribbled in just readable English just wasn't going to cut it. Sure, I had things to say but I needed to make people feel. Don't listen to anyone that says fuck your feelings. All content makes you feel. If you make people feel...

You win.

But most of you wont do that, and that's okay. You know, staunch libertarian here and I believe in letting people be -- and if well, it keeps you fed, then so be it.

Now okay, I may be sounding doom and gloom here, but I'm actually super pro hive. One thing we do have is complete decentralisation which absolutely zero other chains have, and we do have an exciting and willing community. And there are always opportunities to create something. We've also done what no other blockchain has previously been able to create. Watch them all die out and burn in flames as the next web3 tries to mix social with money; they won't, they can't.

We're on odd bunch here, but we work, and that's what I love about this place. The people here are kinda like my family these days -- even when some of them tend to piss me off, ha.

So I'm influencing again. I'm doing it for the love of hive and the love of people.

10.5k views and 388 Hours of me. Farking hell. Ha. This will only get better as the world crumbles and my content will start to be needed even more. I am watching the downfall of society as we speak. It's been advised to me though that I make a second channel for my crypto content and when I start promoting what we do here. I guess that makes sense.
