A weird week

The 47th week of the year 2023, and as you have probably heard me say before, this week I felt completely 'detached' from crypto. But also from the community, I simply haven't had the time or desire to even get online in Discord or keep up with the latest developments in crypto. This means I now have to watch this at the very last minute before the weekly musings. And the first thing I see is the prices, where it looks like there has been a small dip.

How could I expect anything else?

And it is precisely that part that surprisingly makes me start to smile a little here behind my PC. What else could I expect? The whole week has been a big dip for me since I woke up on Tuesday morning with a shock because of my little Myla girl. She almost fell off the couch she had been sleeping on. When I was with her and calmed her down, I immediately saw from the position of her head that things were not going well. She held her head to one side and her legs could not support her weight. She staggered from side to side and once she found her balance and wanted to walk, she immediately fell over. A light immediately went on in my brain. What I saw seemed so familiar, we also experienced this with Lex a few years ago. If my suspicions were correct, and my diagnosis was correct, then this is a problem that cannot be helped. But it is a problem that will recover with time. Myla is of course an old dog now. I made a video of her and sent it to our vet. He called me with some additional questions and based on that the diagnosis was made. My suspicion was correct, Myla is affected by Geriatric Vestibular Syndrome. This for me now mainly means that I cannot leave her alone for a moment, that I have to constantly monitor her and support her in everything she wants to do. Once she is on her feet and has found her balance, she can walk short distances on her own. But because she is dizzy she can also lose her balance. Dogs that experience this can also become very nauseous from the dizziness, and unfortunately, that also happens to Myla. And to top it all off, Lana has also come into heat, so I not only have my hands full with Myla but also with Skipper. A week in which I have little to no time for online activities.

Also take into account that I am also trying to supplement my income, and therefore keep an eye on vacancies that can be filled from home. I was just a bit busy with all these things and had no time for crypto.

Crypto seems to suffer from the same syndrome

But back to crypto. Then why did I have to smile when I saw this dip... because I made a mental comparison with Myla's current situation and crypto. So Myla is also experiencing a dip at the moment. Just as she is currently swaying from left to right, as she struggles to find her balance, eventually gets up, and then unfortunately falls over again, crypto also seems to be moving. It seems like Crypto has been suffering from Geriatric Vestibular Syndrome for about 2 years now. And there's nothing we can do about it. Just like there's nothing we can do for Myla except provide some support. Providing support is what we can also do with crypto, and give it time to recover. We have been doing that with crypto for 2 years, hopefully, Myla will get on top of it faster.

But unfortunately for you, no such 'wise' market musings from me this week... I'm going to keep an eye on my dogs again, and in the meantime see if I can spot some vacancies that qualify. Unfortunately, a stable income from crypto remains a utopia for the time being and we will still have to live in this increasingly expensive Netherlands. Hopefully more time next week and so Market Musings again that can tell you more.
