Coach of the volleyball team , I can add it to my resume !

Today was the annual school volleybal tournament. Once a year always on a Wednesday in February the school plays against two other neighbour school. 100 kids in a gym playing with and against together.
I planned to watch the matches my son had to play but I got a call to help out

Oh muy goodness, yes I love to help but I don’t play. I don’t play volleyball and I don’t know the rules!
But the fact that there was no parent that could help out, they called me. I had to think about it for a minute and just did it. I helped out with our other children but not as coach.

So a crash course on you tube and the World Wide Web and just do it. I was in a gym, but the hall and the sound I have had fun but bit what’s a noise those kids make.

So the rules aren’t that hard and the kids won’t see my insecurities hopefully. I had a lovely team, with a super cute sweet boy that is my son and because of him I did my utmost. We lost all matches, we lost all.
But fun is the most important I said to the kids, eventhough I thought it would be nice that we would have won one match.
The afternoon ended at 17.00 and was well spend. I bought the kids some chips and something to drink to celebrate playing together and friendship.
Did I do good, my son smiled ao I guess that’s a yes.

Now I am sitting on the couch, watching the countries fundraiser for Turkye and Syria.
It’s a telethon and also on all Dutch socials and radio. “We” raised so much money already, look ….. 88 million euros !!!!
What a great thing. And yes I donated !
