Are we just going to ignore how auto-voting discourages new users from joining Hive?
Manual curation would attract, reward, and retain more talented authors.

This has been an issue since the beginning of Steem. Many people have attempted to elevate it but in the end I’m not sure what you could do about it other than just encourage a culture of manual creation, which many do
What is auto-voting? I didn't know that was a thing.
Giving a third-party service your public key so it can automatically upvote the long-form posts of certain Hive users on your behalf. That way, you can spend your time away from the Hive platform, while still collecting rewards.
Curation rewards should be going to people who spend their time manually curating content on Hive, not accounts that are auto-voting.
What, that doesn't sound very good. Sounds like it's vulnerable to abuse
Both are used, auto curation helps grow faster. I'd recommend following a vote
If you know your posts are going to be auto-voted on, you are less motivated to write good content.
Or is my thinking wrong on that?
Not true you lose those autovotes if content goes down
I agree, I'm not exactly going to complaining about Upvotes but it looks like the big Upvotes are kinda stuck with some people. Well hey I'll share everything regardless
