I was ahead of my time

Hive-Shop.

My hat is off to @mary-me.

Setting up a store is work enough but accepting Hive, HBD, and swap.hive only is a giant step.

Why is my hat off? And why was I ahead of my time?

I had a store.

It has to be close to two years ago now. It was when I got a covid19 lay off from work. I had time to spend on Hive and I started a Hive Swag store.

I was the complete opposite of this new one. I accepting no crypto. Bad me. But it was a learning curve. And HBD was not what it is today.

In total I sold one shirt. Lol. And I took a loss on that. Thanks to @nathanmars back then for being my one and only customer.

To tell the truth I had the thought of trying it again, with crypto accepted but between what I do now on Hive, my day job, and a wife with cancer... well you know how time goes.

So to see someone else do it, and it looks like doing it the Hive way: Applaud 👏.

I hope the new store takes Hive by storm.

Thank you for the kind words! Too bad it didn't work out with your shop. To be honest, I didn't know anything about it. I have researched and I just thought "Why doesn't it exist yet?" and then I started building the site. Three weeks of blood, sweat and tears 😅

I am sorry for your illness and the illness of your wife. I wish you and your wife the very best!

And yes, you had a great idea! I will do my best to honour "the legacy" 😉😊
