Bozz family fantasy football: Another season in the books
Just like that, another season is in the books. It feels like just the other day we were starting the season. I had really high hopes for my team. It felt like this could be the year that I was finally going to win it all! Unfortunately, that isn't the case and now I find myself sitting in sixth place.
Still better than @mrsbozz, but I don't like it, I don't like it one bit.
The only solace I find in all of this is knowing that my sister in laws team won. She beat her husband in the semifinals who just the week before in the quarterfinals knocked me out of the running.
As far as the finals, it was a close game between my brother in law and his oldest sister. It was a very close game with the final score being something like 115 to 113 in my sister in laws favor. In fact, I believe it was a massive night by her kicker that pushed her past her brother to win the championship.
She had Butker from Kansas City and he put up a massive 24 points.
As is usually the case, there were different things each team could have done that might have won them the game, but in the end, the chips fell the way they did.
I sent out the congratulatory text message the other day. When everyone is paid up, my sister in law should be the proud owner of $110 worth of gift cards. I left the choice of whether or not her husband and two daughters pay out up to her. Her husband indicated that they will definitely be settling their debts.
Although it wasn't the outcome I was hoping for, I am a bit sad that the season is now over. I am not sure what I am going to use to fill this spot in my regular posting routine, but I am sure I will come up with something.
Believe it or not I was watching some soccer yesterday for some reason.
Maybe I will have to start covering Women's college basketball. It was fun watching my nieces former classmate play the other day.
I hope you enjoyed following my fantasy team through all the ups and downs this season. Despite my constant complaining, I am sure I will be playing again next year.
