When you refuse to develop your mind, you are bound to attract poverty into your life. To develop the mind you must be open to learning and not ignorance. It is only an ignorant person that can resist learning, those who do not know, and they did not know that they don't know.
Wealth is attracted by people who are open to learning through developing their mind. Knowledge makes the mind comfortable and suitable for wealth to come in. There is no one who have acquired wealth that is not open to learn, whether legally and illegally they were willing to acquire knowledge at some certain point.
You don't read but you want to lead, you don't want toblearn but you want to earn. You are not willing to expand in knowledge, but you want to expand in wealth. Look at the wealthiest people in the world, they are always willing to learn and innovate, their mind are open to knowledge that is why they are rich.
People remain poor because they want rewards without putting the required amount of effort.
