FERN IN THE SPRINGTIME OF 2012
The fern in question is Pteridium aquilinum.
Here where I live, it can be found in shady places under the pines. Usually not far from the sea.
I found a moth while passing by the fern, back then in the springtime of 2012.
A moth, and a little green caterpillar.
The moth is the Epirrhoe alternata.
Can't tell you what species is the larva.
I encounter this moth rarely. I mean, I see it every season, but only a couple of them a year.
I was there, in the pine forest, mainly for these edible shoots of the wild asparagus. I photographed them when I reached the open meadow.
The plants and insects in this post were photographed in May 2012. There isn't much else to say about it. Not here, at least. I'll write a sentence or two under each picture.
AND THAT'S ALL. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

I am very lucky to see species of caterpillars and worms 10 years ago. The green variety worm is very beautiful above leaves of plants
My love for nature increases with the diversity of insects. light white caterpillars are brilliant
Esthetic photos borjan👌👌❤
The bugs are really loving the ferns. The green caterpillar (or larva of some sort) is really cool looking.
I often find the green caterpillar in my yard
