BUOYS AND THEIR REFLECTIONS - for the Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 97

avatar

I took a walk by the sea a couple of days ago. In the place called Tashalere. Near the village called Premantura. About seven or eight kilometers from my hometown. I mean, I had to drive seven to eight kilometers to get there. If I had a boat or had I been in the mood for a refreshing winter swim across the bay, the route would have been much shorter. A kilometer or two only.

Among other cool stuff I found on that occasion, there were these buoys accompanied by their shape-shifting reflections on the calm water.

The buoys shown in this photograph were floating in deeper water further from the beach.

(Enlargeable)

The slight movement of the water there created different reflections. Very stylized and stylish reflections. Pretty abstract too.

(Enlargeable)

The style and abstraction reached their peak with this buoy, in my opinion.

However, I decided that this red one will be the entry for the Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 97.

There was a nice diversity among the buoys in the inlet.

Most of them were made to be buoys ...

... but there was also this makeshift one that had a very elongated reflection at one point.

And that's it.

I mean, what else can I tell you about these floating things? I'm not a buoy expert.

You already saw this buoy on the contest entry photograph. But the reflection is slightly different here.

AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

THE END

A perfect subject to visually explore further :)
I imagine some of those with tripod and longer exposure, motion blurred water... For me, living by the sea is real magic :)

Yes, the sea, especially in the bay where the water is often calm, supports a wide variety of reflections. 🙂 Great surface for the Reflection Hunters Contests.

Hehehe, I guess :)
I meant more like a "Great surface for" Art :)

😆 It has that broader use case too. It's a useful piece of water.

Those are some great shots. They are very artistic. I agree that the ripples and reflections make them very interesting and appealing.

They are most definitely some unusual design shapes. A walk by the sea is always nice at any time of year. I just wrap myself up in some warm clothing !LOL
