FBI whistleblowers report massive corruption and political bias within the agency
FBI agents kneeling in solidarity with BLM protesters

Following the death of George FLoyd in police custody in Minneapolis in May of 2020 a wave of protests swept the country. This was the start of what has been sarcastically termed "the summer of love" and saw the several billion dollars worth of destruction and several dozens of people killed. Ostensibly, the cause was racially biased and discriminatory treatment of minorities, predominantly the Black people, by law enforcement in the US. It is questionable how much of an issue anything having to do with race as some research indicates that, for one thing, the law enforcement is not any more likely to use deadly force against a Black person than they are against a White person, other things being equal. But that is a topic for another day. What is notable is that, contrary to typically accepted requirement that government employees, including military and law enforcement personnel, abstain from participation in political action, in early June of 2020 FBI agents took a knee next to the National Archives complex in Washington, DC o show their solidarity with the protesters.
A number of whistleblowers have come out lately alleging that agents pictured above - if not all then many of them - have since been promoted. They allege a picture of widespread shift in the agency towards political activism, corruption, selective prosecution, etc. They claim agents are being pressured to find White supremacists to create a picture of their prominence in the American society.
Linked below is a multi-part video of an interview Dan Bongino has conducted with one of those whistleblwers, Kyle Seraphin. His revelations are telling. I have no idea how accurate they are but the apparent lack of official rebuttals indicates that they are likely not wildly inaccurate.
Seraphin basically describes an agency more interested, and involved, in intelligence gathering and political manipulation than it is in crime fighting. They, according to his description, are starting to more and more resemble secret police agencies under totalitarian regimes than a free country's police agency. As usual, when confronted with news like this, I like to ask, do we need an agency like this? Is it time to disband it?
