Making My Famous 🍓 Strawberry Cake 🍓 (ENG-ESP)

It is summertime, which means that here in Ontario, delicious strawberries are in abundance! 🍓 As such, I have been getting creative with desserts. It was last year that I came across a recipe for a strawberry cake -- my family and I fell in love... I've been preparing this delicacy on a regular basis ever since! Not only is it fresh and delicious, but everybody, even our oldest who doesn't eat fruit, loved it -- there were barely crumbs left! 😄



Es verano, lo que significa que aquí en Ontario abundan las deliciosas fresas. 🍓 Como tal, me he vuelto creativo con los postres. El año pasado encontré una receta de pastel de fresas, mi familia y yo nos enamoramos... ¡Desde entonces preparo este manjar regularmente! No solo es fresco y delicioso, sino que a todos, incluso a los mayores que no comen fruta, les encantó: ¡apenas quedaban migajas! 😄




Here is a list of all of the ingredients that will be used for the cake:

▢ 1½ cups all-purpose flour
▢ 1½ teaspoons baking powder
▢ ½ teaspoon salt
▢ 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
▢ 1 cup sugar
▢ 1 large egg
▢ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
▢ ½ cup milk
▢ 1 pint of strawberries



AquĂ­ hay una lista de todos los ingredientes que se utilizarĂĄn para el pastel:

▢ 1½ tazas de harina para todo uso
▢ 1½ cucharaditas de polvo de hornear
▢ ½ cucharadita de sal
▢ 6 cucharadas de mantequilla sin sal, ablandada
▢ 1 taza más de azúcar
▢ 1 huevo grande
▢ 1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla
▢ ½ taza de leche
▢ 1 pinta de fresas

Begin by preparing the main ingredient: the strawberries! 😃🍓 You may cut them in halves, or into chunks; just make sure they are thickly sliced! When strawberry bakes in the oven, it slowly evaporates into a syrup, so make sure they are thick enough to eat still!



Comienza preparando el ingrediente principal: ¡las fresas! 😃🍓 Puedes cortarlos por la mitad o en trozos; ¡Solo asegúrate de que estén cortados en rodajas gruesas! Cuando la fresa se hornea en el horno, se evapora lentamente en un almíbar, ¡así que asegúrese de que estén lo suficientemente espesas para comerlas!

In one bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together: flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, take the butter and sugar, and knead it until it is light and creamy!



En un tazĂłn, mezcle todos los ingredientes secos: harina, polvo de hornear y sal. En otro bol, coge la mantequilla y el azĂşcar, y amasa hasta que quede ligera y cremosa.

Then, add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture.

Once this is finished, slowly begin sifting the flour into the mixture. After the flour, whisk in the milk. The batter will be thick, as pictured above!

Pour the batter into the pan and finish off by placing the strawberries on top. Your cake is ready to be baked! 😃 Bake at 350 for a little over an hour...

And there you have it! 😃 An absolutely deliciously moist strawberry cake 🍰 The tartness from the strawberries complimented this sweet pastry beautifully. I hope you get to enjoy this recipe as well!
