Restaurant in the Outskirts of Hilongos town, Leyte, Philippines

What a week! Such a tiring week for me and I'm glad its the weekend and I can finally take a break for a while. Right now I wish I could just go to a relaxing place where I can relax my mind. Like this place I am going to share with you.

A place in Hilongos, Leyte has become popular with its known flower farm inspired by of that Amsterdam tulip field. Although there are no tulips there, but sure there are beautiful arrays of flowers to fill our eyes with beauty. Together with my friends we went there to check it out. It was unplanned and we went there when the sun was almost setting.

The road going there was little narrow for a car to pass but my friend managed to drive her car just fine. When we arrived there we were welcomed by a view of a corn field ready for harvest.

We were a little dismayed when we saw no flowers blooming in the field as we expected. That was supposed to be the highlight of our visit there. There was nothing we can do though it was really disappointing. 😥 But since the place offers a casual dining, we decided to have our dinner there. The restaurant is called Tambaan Farm Cafe.

The cafe with its vernacular architecture, wows me. The bamboo poles, the rattan and wooden chairs and furnitures, the rattan chandeliers, beautiful decorations and the yellow lights were perfectly in sync to give the place a very calming and elegant ambiance. Though we were not able to witness the beautiful flowers, it turned out just fine with me.

The restaurant is an open building. There are no walls so you can see around outside. And one of the amazing view we had was the burst of blue monochrome while sitting in a cocoon like "duyan". The view at the back looks like a tv screen image. This duyan is my favorite of all the furnitures I found in this place.

We had more photos taken while waiting for our food. There are more areas of the restaurant that you can have a photo with beautiful backgrounds. When we went there, it was the "ber" months (September to December), christmas season in the Philippines so that's the reaon why there were christmas decors. If you might ask that is why I explaind.

After we took photos and finally felt hungry, we ate our dinner. The food there was delicious... This is why I believe people love this place because they don't only offer beautifuL secnery but they also serve yummy foods.

Now this conclude our visit in Tambaan Cafe. Before we went home, they bought some corn which the owners freshly harvested from their corn fields. I will surely go back to this place when the flowers are in bloom.
