A surprise bridal shower for a friend

Hello dear hivers Ph. I'm glad to have found this community and meet awesome fellow Filipinos.

Filipinos as we are, we love to celebrate important events in our lives such as birthdays, graduations, wedding anniversaries and many more. I would like to share with you one important event that we celebrated with my friends.

One of my friend was set to marry the love of her life after years of dating. So before she bid goodbye to her single life we prepared a bridal shower for her. We wanted it to be a surprise and make her feel more special on that day. But our plan was an on the spot planning and implementing. With our busy schedules and work loads we didn't have the time to meticulously plan for the event. So what came up to our minds and agreed upon we just acted on it instantly.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The first thing we made sure is for our friend to be able to attend to this event without getting the idea that we were preparing something for her. We talked to her parents to give her permission to go out with us. In our belief, someone who is about to be wed should not be going out if not necessary. They are prone to bad things that may happen such accidents. Of course, these are just supersitious belief but there is no harm if we follow through it. Thankfully, we got her parents permission.

The next thing we prepared were the food and the paraphernalias. As for the food we chipped in for the expenses. Nothing fancy, just some food that are readily available in the market and ready ro eat food. For the paraphernalias we prepared a headress made out of cartolina and a frame for photo ops, again made of cartolina designed by our talented friend.

The venue was the a little of a problem. We argued on who's house we would use for the venue. Nobody wants to lend their house as venue. So we just decide to have the venue by the beach. We decorated the venue and add candles on the alley to give dramatic entrance.

For the costume, we pulled out some white curtain from the closet to be used as gown. Hahah we were just being resourceful! 😂

We finally wrapped up the event by having more chitchats, singing and laughing. We really had fun th𝘰ugh what we prepared for her was nothing fancy. But the important thing here was that the bond and connection we created became stronger. It was a way of telling her that we have her back and we support her all the way in every important decisions in her life.
