Starting My Winter Indoor Herb garden
Starting My Indoor Herb Growing
Sure, it's dead of winter, but it doesn't matter to me! I love to cook, and I love to grow my own food. Cooking with fresh herbs doesn't have to wait for spring, as, I grow my own herbs, all winter inside on my grow lights shelves. Watch this video as I take you on my process for growing my own Parsley, two kinds of Basil. I show you how to get started, from soil to planting, to watering.
Please let me know, do you cook as well as garden, too? Let me know, below!
My gardens are in Zone 7a/7b New England.

This video is a look at how I plan and plant my Herb garden indoors. There's nothing like fresh herbs when cooking, and growing my own, certainly helps!
Most of you know, I prefer to grow my own food, locally. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking, planes, trains, and boats, to get fresh foods to my table.
And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.

This is fluffy awesome. I always subscribe to one growing their food because not only is healthier, it saves extra costs.
May your crops grow well and yield bountifully.

ALWAYS happy to save my time and money, growing my own fresh food to feed my family and friends.
I don't grow what my mother grew in life, she managed to plant a few things, not with complete success, but she loved to grow everything. On the other hand, it made me laugh a lot when you say you don't care if it's winter or not, but it's the truth. Those who want to plant look for the threat at any time of the year.
i grow. it's who I am.
I cook, and love to feed my family... again, it is me.
so, cooking fresh, means growing fresh food. There's snow outside, so, I grow inside, on my grow lights.
Now this my friend is incredible!!! I always admire people who take gardening seriously because I suck at it.
Good job dear friend!
love it... cannot imagine NOT growing things... so, I love it
I love your basil (^_^)
Excellent advice. Thanks for sharing
Nice to keep the fresh herbs going through the winter. I cook but not as much as you. We try to make something special with everything that comes from the garden.
i look around and see, not only are fresh herbs on my window sill in the kitchen, but I know, there's fresh food growing in the basement (lettuce, arugula, spinach!)
I did start Planting basil! ^_^
AWESOME!
We have got so many herbs around in our compound that my mom grows herself
I dislike it until I fell sick and those herb help cure me
I use my herbs as cooking spices!
That’s great. I haven’t tried that before but there are some veggies that are tagged medicinal which I use sometimes !BBH
