Planning My 2024 Garden!

At the end of each year, I look back, at my plans, harvests, and saved food, from last year, and before. I review what I planned, what worked, what failed, and what I want to try that's different, or new!

Right now, as I look out over the garden, this is the view I see:

I am not entirely sure, that's ideal Gardening Weather
During the dead of winter, I take time to inventory my seeds, decide what I want for this year, and order them in. Same with my seed starting supplies: more peat moss, more seed starter, more trays, replace/renew/refresh the lighting.

Most of you know, I prefer to grow my own food, locally. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking, planes, trains, and boats, to get fresh foods to my table.

And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.

You are prefer to grow your own food which not possible for everyone but you are lucky. vegetables and fruit are not safe in the local market. I Liked your unique concept. fabulous.

I checked out my zip on the farmers almanac. Last frost May 28 😅 We already have a bare root tree order in. We have been planting a few trees each year since we moved here. I was working on inventorying seeds when I saw your post 🙂 I am envious of your seed storage system! sent me straight to Amazon 😊

the seed storage is Picture Storage from Micheal's Arts and Crafts. I KNOW they are on Amazon as well

That weather is definitely not a good one for gardening at all but it's good you are already drawing plans for your 2024 gardening pending when the weather becomes favorable.
