END of My 2024 Outdoor Growing Season
End of My Growing Season, for 2024
WAaaaaay back in February when I first started seeds for this season, this time of year was a very distant thought. At the time, it was excitement and longing for the season to come. I was coming off a couple of months of rest, after last season. I was eagerly sowing seeds.
But then, as soon as the seeds were sown, and then planted, and then grew and then finally, the veggies and fruits were harvested, it was all over! It feels like the three months off take HALF the year, and the 9 months of growing, take the other half!
It's NOT FAIR!

Most of you know, I prefer to grow my own food, locally. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking, planes, trains, and boats, to get fresh foods to my table.
And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.
And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.

Good idea planting lettuce in planter box so you can bring it in. We have some outside that I don't know if it will make it. Nice bunching onions harvest 👍 We still have some brussel sprouts outside. You reminded me to cover up my garlic 🤦
Congratulations on your crops, I am very happy that those who have the possibility to grow their own food, do it and find it successful ❤️
